as a user of 780 just to finish metro last light. worth it
one note. hmm personally prefer the color of my 7970ghz. more vibrant.
and second not happy that the 780 doesnt support uefi login. needed to run legacy. y not happy.. cause the boot logo is streched.

QUOTE(rav3n82 @ May 28 2013, 09:27 AM) I'm waiting to see when the non-reference ones will arrive in Malaysia. I like the Evga version, but too bad Malaysia no longer got any distri carrying them. Maybe will wait for Gigabyte's one instead. But I feel Nvidia's reference version still looks very premium compared to the non-reference ones. Exactly the same as Titan, but nearly RM1k cheaper. no point. wont make a difference unless they change the bios to increase the tdp limit. same issue for titan. the stock cooler is cool and very silent. and u know where i stand with gaygay. rather die than take their product. the best chances of good bins are evga overclocked versions and zotac amps. so more too bad zotac no more. but zotac would be pricey as zotac principal only allows sales of game bundle here in MY last time. QUOTE(rav3n82 @ May 28 2013, 09:42 AM) I think it's possible to flash a custom BIOS for that purpose right? Agreed, the cooler is really cool and silent. Engineering perfection at its finest. Lol, Gigabyte still using reference Nvidia PCB design, so I think should still be ok. Only the cooler is customized. QUOTE(ainuddin @ May 28 2013, 09:43 AM) so no use buy the custom version? just get the stock reference version? yup cause it does a good job and is extremely silent. only pay for 3rd party if they have higher tdp with more power like 2x8pin pcie. to increase to 300watts. from external and 75 watts from the pcie lane. current is 225watts from external and 75 watts from lane. watercooling this aint gonna make a difference. GPU clocking has changed. not sure on 680 but shld be the same with 770
its pairing of fixed incremental clock generator with fixed vids.
u just up the table of the clocks to the vids.
for titan and 780 it will never be a temp issue. its always a tdp at 106 issue.

QUOTE(moshpit21 @ May 29 2013, 12:00 AM) TDP you mean the power target? Use mod bios can increase the power target, done that to my GTX 670 and GTX 690. dont see any bios mod for titan or 780. hmm i think the way the oc works same as 770 based on the review above.. sweet 1240... Anyone knows how much these will cost yet? no wait for evga classified edition those are hand picked bins. but telling u nothing gonna beat those lightnings if they are churning out 1300 as easy as they seems in the post reviews.

QUOTE(RowanPaladin @ May 30 2013, 09:35 PM) I meant the EVGA Superclocked versions. @cstkl1 how much of a performance increase would the classified cards have over the normal SCs? If it's going to come at a hefty premium I really don't think I'll be getting them. Also, this just in: http://www.evga.com/articles/00748/the classified are normally very good binned at 74++% min i ever seen at very good vids. thats more important than any clocks normally not much but the classified will be also the same ones u get with the hydro copper versions. evga cards ranking Signature>HydroCopper Classified>Classified>SSC>SC

QUOTE(Gamer @ May 30 2013, 09:56 PM) I just wondering why GTX770 using 7000Mhz memory but the expensive use 6000Mhz memory... x Cause of the phase clock generator on gpu will be overstressed with the mem controllers. The cores will be affected. Hence y normally especially nvidia need to downclock the mem from its max to allow higher core clocks. Think in the future they should put inbuilt mem controllers.

theres a diff. order from amazon/stores etc for evga u can rma with evga taiwan order from US newegg. u have to send back to newegg
but to tell u my exp with evga since i had a few boards/gpu from them.
they really dont give a rat ass about outside the US on eta. Its damn slow.
gpus has like 1-3% worth of DOA normally. U'd be the unlucky one to get one. and most rma are mem controller/mem issue etc and that constitutes another 2%.
example my gtx690 signature until today rma in singapore already 3 months waiting lol. they havent approved any credit refund also.
asus rma is the fastest followed by MSI in malaysia.
gaygay taiwan direct technically fast just the distro here is very slow. Mainly scanart we are talking about here.
