Rrp is 2299 but hopefully those few stores here bring in cheaper lo. I was hoping for the price to drop 1.9k before getting it.

We pay such premium price just for a phone. Haih...

For the price to drop to $1.9K, i think it will be around Jun-July period already.

If htc one face to face vs s4... at almost same price.. sure will lose kow kow.

Why HTC lose to Samsung?

Poor marketing
Poor brand awareness
Confusing and inconsistent phones products, ie HOX & HOX+
Poor customer service
Poor upgrades

For this round, if HTC is able to overcome these area of weaknesses, I dont see why HTC cannot compete with Samsung with its HTC One when both are price the same.

Actually I had better experience in HTC's customer support compare to Samsung.
HTC even help me fix my previous HTC DHD even my warranty was late by 1 week.

Samsung just ask me money to check the phone when my warranty was over by 1.5week

I think the main reason they loose is the marketing part..... Samsung really flood the market with their commercial.... and those Korean Drama and pop all using samsung products. How on earth can you win?


HTC is just a company while Samsung is a Country. Take miracles to fight the war.

From my Korean friends....Korea need Samsung more than Samsung need Korea..... Even Korea president need to speak politely to the Samsung boss.

back in htc one x, they claimed that water won't be able to get through.
Which i find quite true to an extend.
My friend's htc one s was submerge on a bag with spilled water, the backside of the phone was exposed with water and till today no problem.

if water cannot get through, dust will probably not as well. so far my htc one x no problem. no dust trapped

that time if my memory not mistaken the south korea that time economy crisis then the 4 big companies (samsung,hyundai, etc) actually paying tax to government is really main income of the country till now. that's why now even government had to respect them

yes samsung now is largest company (or hyundai?) in S.korea, they even have samsung brand car lulz.

well i mean like last time my friend macbook la, he drop once then the port hole bend already and cant plug the cable and need to send to repair and it cost a lot because it is unibody.
