Just waiting for the price to drop. My phone is almost a year old. Sometimes I think its not worth changing it. But lifespan of an electronic is only 2 years these days. A couple of months when the price drop it would be the perfect time to change.

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Feb 20 2013, 05:57 PM) Two different models. Actually if we think about it, its two different market. One smaller and better performance. Another one a tad bigger screen, splash proof and have micro sdcard slot. Just pick whichever one that suits your need and fancy...lolz butterfly is built for more robust users. The other one is mainly for mainstream users. |

QUOTE(toda_III @ Feb 21 2013, 12:43 AM) I'm actually still wondering without menu buttons nor on screen navigation bar, how apps like Facebooks and Whatsapps gonna work fully? Someone enlighten me please? i think its gonna be on screen 3 dots bar? These apps haven't adopt Android's new app guideline design. Or maybe they will be forced to just for HTC One users. but coming from custom roms, i remap every button on my phone to make things easier. hardly use recent apps button as well. can remap long press or short press, or even double click like what htc did. double tap home = recent apps. |

The timing is weird. usually it doesn't take that long for it to arrive.
Timing is of essence. They should start penetrating the market while the cake is still hot. Since samsung have way more marketing budget than them, its hard for htc to keep the hype up till April/may. but then again. Htc market share in Malaysia is meh..... |

in overseas, their rate of signing up a phone with plans are cheap. (of course you don't compare with conversation rate, dollar to dollar) sometimes even free.
in Malaysia, you still need to pay RM 1k plus to get a phone. that naturally narrow the target market. Market is one thing. but need to factor in your target market. In Malaysia, only the mid to high income groups are capable of owning this phone. With that being said, middle income also don't change their phones every now and then. |

QUOTE(giovanni @ Feb 21 2013, 05:16 PM) That still doesn't explain how Vietnam is included in the first batch launch. Unless you're saying vietnamese have higher income compared to malaysians Sorry, cant give definite answer to your question. What i say is based on my personal speculations. I do not represent HTC or neither do i work for them. The launch are all based on contracts with telcos. Maybe, they will be bringing in the Htc one contract free ( or unlocked version as referred to by others) earlier than mentioned. That has always been the case for most not so popular android phones though priorities are given to telco first. |

My current one x multitask abit heat lai liao. =.='apparently, there is no GPU throttling in the HTC ONE a guy from the xda forums tested it, and here is what he found: 1) android 4.1.2 GLBenchmark offscreen 1080p test at 34fps 2) high possibility of reaching 41fps with android 4.2 (better drivers) 3) LOW HEAT!! its all in this page http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...2161330&page=14 so simply put, HTC ONE is suitable for mobile gaming!! YAY~~!! now my only gripe with this phone (about not having the absolutely top spec hardware) is put to rest!! >w< |
