my personal testing and survey confirmed BHP got best balance of strongest/quickest acceleration response and smoothness with engine quietness, but slightly higher FC than Petronas. Caltex and Shell gave me poor FC, sluggish power and loud engine noise when accelerating.. (Forte, Vios, M5, Corolla Altis, Focus, Golf GTI, Estima)

so, let's boycott Caltex and Cap Kerang togeder-geder

Like that ahh..after this I run to check with BHP. then if not statisfied, i'm going back to Petronas
Furthermore, I hv Maybank Petronas credit card + MesraCard...combining both point can give me extra petrol about rm50 after 4~5 months fueling
Maybe caltex and kerang not really meant for our FOrte engine..for Myvi I hv tested can go very long distance than petronas.

Thinking to get a 2nd hand Forte..now considering either 1.6 SX or 2.0 SX..

Just want to know more about this car..will the 1.6 underpower?

I know there are 2 models of Forte, 1 is 4-speed, 1 is 6-speed..basically how to differenciate it?

Besides that, any known issue for Forte? any batch or model to avoid?

My Area Caltex really give me quiet and high performance to my car although FC a bit higher.

Conclusion is really depends on which petrol station as some campur minyak Tanah into petrol.

Im using caltex too..rm50 get 300-350km for 60% city drive..quiet and smooth oso..

I can confirm Petronas gives the most mileage. Reasonable pick up strength but less refinement to the engine while accelerating. I let my friend in Penang drove my previous Vios before he pumped RM10 RON95 (RM1.90/l) can go ulang alik mainland and island for 2 and half time 110km (BHP estimate 100km max).. yes Vios is a very fuel saving small sedan..

So far my Forte tried only Caltex, Cap Kerang and by default BHP. Not planning to try Petronas coz it will make the car engine sounds rough and noisy at higher revs.

1.6 is enough in town driving but suffers insufficient torque issue of carrying 1,300kg of Compact to Midsize body size on highway while pick-up or overtaking. If you driven Vios or Ford Fiesta before, Forte 1.6 got 15% less power than both above mentioned..

difference 4 and 6 speed version is the gearshift knob and plastic housing design, 6 speed got LED side signal lamp with electric folding, rear view camera with screen built-in rear view mirror and 6 speed only comes with normal silver, titanium silver, and normal white.. 4 speed got red and black colour..

Yeah..1300kg is heavy..I should opt for 2.0 instead

majority foreseen pull left steering alignment when bought new (can be solved at good outside tayar shop) and minor rattling sound on dash (not my case, I got very soft squeaky noise at driver seat when I purposely lean back very kuat), warm plastic at cupholder..

forget about used car 4 speed Forte and get the 6 speed version which has upgraded insulation material all around for less NVH and faster acceleration due to quicker gear change from its 6 different gear ratios.

yes both is enough to identify their different version.. Naza Kia phased out 4 speed model d la.. no need so takut lor..

2.0 has 6 airbags, cruise control and half leather upholstery which is the one u should go for if you've higher allocated budget (RM97k otr, RM379 annual roadtax, FC RM50 avg. 230km mileage)..

Comparing between cengkerang and caltetexs, both give rough engine noise, but the caltetxs give better powder. So highway cruise, car more powderful...

Last time punya bhp gives the best power also, and loud engine noise too. New one gives better power and no more noisy noisy sound. Not to mention no more bau kuat during pumping. Lol

FC I shouldn't concern much..I'm planning to get 2nd hand Forte..not new 1..thats why need to know the way to identify it..
