This is the meter photo ,30 km 7 50 km not light, Very odd..

Mine same as you. Hyundai Matrix has that 2 red color. My friend said 50km/h is the minimum setting for Auto-Cruise but for the 30km/h, I forgot what he mentioned to me. Maybe 2012 forte using the same meter as 2.0 but without Auto-Cruise function.

Some say the purpose of this is to mark the minimum recommended speed to upshift to 3rd & 4th gear in the manual shiftronic mode (or is it also known as steptronic?). It sounds logical though because if we upshift too early, we might strain the engine. Last time i've try to upshift manually to 3rd gear at speed below 30km/h & the gear wont upshift. Tried it again at speed just above 30km/h, the gear upshift without any hesitation. However, this possibly apply to the 4-speed Forte i believe.

Ohh...new information to me..as I'm using 6-speed, I monitor it just above 2k rpm can change for every gear but very2 low torque laa...

wonder you guys ever notice, our speedometer had a 5km/h difference. meaning if you are driving at 110km/h, you are actually driving at 105km/h only.

i check this through our navi gps.
*
it depend on tinted also...my car after tinted, Garmin slow 3~5km/h but change tyre to 50 profile, it look like same as actual speed.
BUT is this same as CAMERA PDRM sensor??..will extra 3km/h sure kene saman??

Sorry my bad. Really have to go through the guide this time...
*
I think it even same as normal auto car gear (conventional type)..its lock between P to R (vice versa) and D to R (vice versa)
if has 3rd gear..it will lock between 3 and 2 (P..R..D..3..2)

so are we talking about why the fella didn't go to gear 6?
*

that guy said in FB that 6th gear can not hold the momentum of that speed (for 1.6sx). If he changed to 6th, it will go down the speed.

i always using petronas 95..after installing 'mercun', my engine feels less noise, a litle bit pickup at lower end gear and fuel slightly increase (maybe need monitor after 2@3 pumping)..but today, I try to pump full tank of Caltex 95..I feel the increasing in pickup but my engine vibrates like before installing 'mercun'..is it because the sudden changes of fuel make this to happen??..or I need to wait for 2@3 pumping fuel??

Normally test after 2 to 3 tanks. If still same problem then I recommend you to change other fuel. Try bhp. biggrin.gif

Thanks for your advice V12 smile.gif

my personal testing and survey confirmed BHP got best balance of strongest/quickest acceleration response and smoothness with engine quietness, but slightly higher FC than Petronas. Caltex and Shell gave me poor FC, sluggish power and loud engine noise when accelerating.. (Forte, Vios, M5, Corolla Altis, Focus, Golf GTI, Estima)

so, let's boycott Caltex and Cap Kerang togeder-geder rolleyes.gif
*
Like that ahh..after this I run to check with BHP. then if not statisfied, i'm going back to Petronas tongue.gif
Furthermore, I hv Maybank Petronas credit card + MesraCard...combining both point can give me extra petrol about rm50 after 4~5 months fueling biggrin.gif
Maybe caltex and kerang not really meant for our FOrte engine..for Myvi I hv tested can go very long distance than petronas.

I can confirm Petronas gives the most mileage. Reasonable pick up strength but less refinement to the engine while accelerating. I let my friend in Penang drove my previous Vios before he pumped RM10 RON95 (RM1.90/l) can go ulang alik mainland and island for 2 and half time 110km (BHP estimate 100km max).. yes Vios is a very fuel saving small sedan..

So far my Forte tried only Caltex, Cap Kerang and by default BHP. Not planning to try Petronas coz it will make the car engine sounds rough and noisy at higher revs.
*
i'm agree with you that petronas 95 makes noisy sound at higher rev.

A question, how long between booking n getting the car from edwin??i also planning to buy forte 2.0 from him
*
depends on the bank process...and car stock...
my friend using maybank can get 1.6sx white for 4 days from booking..i chose CIMB because the lowest rate that time..almost 2~3weeks waiting from booking date..

he lastly decided to put the bracket words as shown in the end so now it's already acceptable and showed some respect to the seller..

Regards to downhill driving, I may let the auto transmission auto downshift / upshifts to suitable gears in "D" to avoid overspeed provided the car carries only driver alone or with another front passenger. If fetching 4-5 person I will use paddle shift if other cars without paddleshift will engage "3" or "2" that helps on braking while downhill slowly all the time to avoid brakepads n disc brakes overheating / overhangus smell..
*
if gear engaged in "3" or "2", does it mean brake by gear?? is that will make the lifetime of gearbox turn down??
i know it will more safety by enganging low gear as in karak highway long2 ago signboard, "jalan curam, gunakan gear rendah" (if i'm not mistaken la) tongue.gif
