However, Tunku Alizakri emphasised that this facility is not a "withdrawal" but rather an "advance", pointing out that eligible members will need to replenish the amount withdrawn.

https://www.msn.com/en-my/money/topstories/...c?ocid=msedgntp

just guess have to wait till 18 Nov for the more details of how the 'Replenishment" are gonna be.....

Official statement from kwsp.gov.my

Members who choose to apply for the i-Sinar facility will be required to replace the full amount advanced. All future contributions will be 100% credited to Account 1 until such time the amount advanced is replenished. Thereafter, contributions will revert to 70% to Account 1 and 30% to Account 2.

Just wonder is it a MUST for KWSP to declare the dividend by February every year (as their year end was supposed to be 31st December) or it has been by historical tradition they have been doing so???

Different from ASNB they have been declaring dividend on the month of that particular fund's year end (eg. ASM1 YE 31st March so we were always informed of the dividend in March and get the dividend 1st April)

Same, EPF is paying slightly higher % to me than my yearly template calculation which is correct for the past few years up to 0.1 cent deviation. This year deviates by tens of ringgit  confused.gif

I play around with 365/366 days also same. When I have time need to try/play around my template.
*
Mine is accurate to the cent using 366 days while my another family member who has no contribution for past year got rounded up to the nearest ringgit

Hi I got kind of confused with the interest calculation too.

So assuming i have 10000 brought forward from 2019, i should do this:

10000x5.2%x366/365=521.42?
*
Referring to the blogpost link earlier here is the calculation

Previous year balance x 5.2%

+

Monthly contribution for January (eg. RM1000)

RM1000 x 5.2% / 366 x (remaining days from last day of the month until December 31) which is 336 for January 31 until December 31

+

Monthly contribution for February (eg. RM1000)

RM1000 x 5.2% / 366 x (remaining days from last day of the month until December 31) which is 307 for February 29 until December 31

+ same method for contributions following months

Remember, your contribution will reach EPF usually one month after salary deduction (eg. January salary deduction will reflect in EPF statement as February contribution.

inflation is a separate problem to be solved. Life has a lot of issues to solve, and each needed to be tackled of course.

what I know is back in 2000, a chicken rice was like 4 rm? now it is 10rm.
but the difference is the same person had 0 money; but now he at least have 550K rm.
*
I was shocked at RM10 price tag until I saw the add charsiu post sweat.gif

QUOTE(HolyCooler @ Feb 15 2022, 02:32 PM)
well, just imagine :

1. has EPF saving, has over a mil or a few mil when maggie mee is rm 50 a pack.
2. no EPF saving, save less than 10k, maggie mee is rm 50 a pack.
I saw a lot of FB comments that asked to allow them to withdraw their epf money. Based on their comments, these people seems anti saving. Their thinking are, millions are useless because that time items XXX will increase / inflate to YYY pricing. So they prefer to have no saving rather than have million RM saving? I can't understand their thinking.
*
People like us could never understand their mindset

But in general from fb comments they either think 1. why worry for later when even now they can't even survive 2. too much into rumor that Gov will suck EPF dry and we will not be getting our money when we retired

Yet, some people just could not see money sitting unused biggrin.gif No matter earn how much also tak cukup like my uncle's employee, gave thick bonus and increment still wanna withdraw EPF

And, that is why only kejap MCO already crying for moratorium

Is gud - we need such to keep the economy flowing, the speed of $.
If most people save, invest & buy necessities only mostly - die man, how would EPF & our investments make more moolah? right or right  tongue.gif
*
Exactly. If everyone only spend what is neccessary habislah all only buy myvi and nobody takes personal loan ekonomi tak jalan

Nowadays 17k is pretty normal for managerial positions.
My General managers are on 22k and above.

21 years will see some jump in his salary along the way.

Yes I realised recently the job market if you have what it takes then some companies really willing to pay

Good sign but sigh still majority are riding on supply > demand mindset and keep lowballing

QUOTE(dwRK @ Feb 15 2022, 11:03 PM)
we are tongkat nation mah... government will step in to help... now wanna cut hardworking "rich" epf account holder's dividend to subsidize "poor" account holders...

long ago there was this young hawker stall owner that i frequent... he dun open business everyday... very random... i ask him why his timing so odd one, if he got business somewhere else... his reply, "sudah cukup makan tutup"... haiz...
*
I guess not just Msia, other countries are doing that to a certain extend as well

We know some countries they rather not working and rely on unemployment benefits too

So to be fair to Msia not only us lar... but yes it is not healthy

And for the young hawker.. at least he work ok haha!

OT a bit but when GST I also overheard Chinese hawkers also started practicing so just so their business will not hit the GST threshold of RM500k

6.1 and 6.15 are not the same. The Edge says 6.15, the "screenshot out of nowhere" shows 6.10.
*
I chose to believe THE Edge, unless they too kanjiong and made a typo

But weird that even EPF own website has no such news and already these news leaked for this year
