when Shariah return is higher than Conventional then suddenly everyone want to switch their EPF to Shariah... waiting that day to come
then after u switch the next year Non Shariah performs better

then kecoh again... that is why propose to only have 1 figure no need compare no need kecoh
*
When will that happen? I also want higher return. Is there switching fee?

Good idea for epf to provide old age care but should not eat into our funds.

Introducing the idea of tiered dividend. If you rich, then return should be lower so its fair lo to the poor. If you poor return should be higher so encourage you to save. And change withdrawal rule so cannot withdraw suka hati.

All one shot kena game.

Tier dividend is fair. Rich people should know that invest in S'pore property and stocks better so should not depend on EPF. with rich peeps removing their funds then pooor people get more dividend. Simple logic only.

It's actually happening now...

But at smaller scale...

The Rich already moved their $$$ overseas....

Some so called upper M40 too...
Not far... just nearby Singapore only 🤪😂
*
Don’t worry the rich move money back to Malaysia. What did that professor say again? Introduce capital gain tax, tax dividends then increase income tax. Our brain drain will also be fixed since who dont want to earn in ringgit.

That's not what is defined to be a B40. It's all about active income.

So need to make sure not employed and not a director somewhere.
*
If become director in Singapore and receive no salary but got share option is b40 or not?

if u say so.

but how many here actually have to think 2x, 3x, 4x before buying a bag of rice etc? those are the ppl who really need money.
*
They have work harder and smarter. Like me young that time wake up 6am take mini bus work then study at night. Then keep study and work until masters. It’s win win. Don’t be contended with what we have. Also crave for more and more.

If they do like that... Sure happy one..

But as we know how things work in Malaysia & always "punish" those with money....

It's gonna be the opposite...
Higher your balance,  the lower your dividends rates...

OR

Those like low balance like 50k below get additional "bonuses" from EPF... Meanwhile those more just get ordinary dividends....

Something like how ASB...
*
Rich peeps better not put in EPF get high dividends. They should know better to invest in S'pore or S&P500 and spend in M'sia. EPF need not help them get rich. Why waste energy manage rich peeps money lar.

Same concept like education. Smart students can easily get scholarships from Chinese or S'pore top uni. In fact, they come here pinch our top students. There is no need to give places to these smart people in our local uni. Waste public funds only.

but old that time better come back here stay got subsidy because no income B40

Definitely below EPF dividend rate and it will be the lowest as possible
It will be as low as 2.5% 🤦‍♀️ because the flexi account has to be liquid as possible in anticipation of withdrawals
*
2.5% who want to put? must be higher than FD rates with easier withdrawl rules if they want to attract investors

still got what left after 100yo?  tongue.gif

But yea i tell my relative EPF is the safest "saving" u can get, even safer then FD & govt pension...

if 1 day EPF collapse and u cannot withdraw the money out, non of your RM is safe anymore.

Behold invest overseas comment incoming.
*
I agree. that's why I also invest in EPF although work in S'pore & Europe last time. Just in case S'pore collapse or the EU lose the war then can fall back to M'sia

I think it’s for young people. UT more flexible. Epf cannot take out until old like me. Unless of course >1m

If you invest via EPF’s MIS, the sales fee will cost:

1)Zero to 0.5% if you invest online via EPF’s i-Akaun portal
2)Up to 3% via the FMI’s agent/counter

Yes, there are sales fee beforehand the investment. So make sure to take this into calculation too. Eg 3% sales tax, so the return need to be minus this to see the real profit. %
*
Also 1% management fee on NAV. Make loss also must pay🫢

Basically for first time withdrawal..

No matter what. Still need to visit EPF office.... Such hassle 😔

But because it's involved $$$$...
No issues 😃
*
I would prefer to visit EPF office first time. It's best security possible. better if they take thumb print and my signature.

This is reason why I don't like fully digital bank. Account creation don't even need my physical person to confirm. Just me not feel comfortable. Even digital payment like TNG I use also feel like lack of security but ok lar limit 2k monthly.

Regarding the 9%, meaning future EPF will deduct 20% instead of 11%? Then our take home pay lower than half already

Problem is salary not high enough.
