Did you people realise that there is a withdrawal allowed for accounts having balances in excess of Rm1.05mil?
Just learnt this from kopitiam! but if got more than 1 million rm in epf, the excess can withdraw anytime right? http://www.kwsp.gov.my/portal/en/web/kwsp/...han-rm1-million |

QUOTE Ahmad Burhan Abd Wahab even suggested that the withdrawal age be set at 70 years for men and 75 years for women. How stoopid is that? Ahmad may be permanently retired by then! |

QUOTE(puchongite @ May 12 2015, 11:17 AM) From what I understand that REIT is a pretty conservative investment right ? Yeah. But provided your REIT manager knows how to. But susceptible to rates hike.If a conservative investment could still give 8% yield, it really means our EPF is not giving as good yield as what most people think. |

QUOTE(xuzen @ May 12 2015, 12:17 PM) One of the greatest key risk of REIT is not volatility... it is Rights Issue Call and SGReits are rather notorious for that due to their nature of distributing 90% of income and leverage not more than 50%.... NONE thus far as the revaluation of props were able to mitigate this.So prophetjul, how many rights issue have you taken up from holding SGReits? OTH i have been accumulating shares in lieu of divs. That helped the returns! |

QUOTE(puchongite @ May 25 2015, 04:23 PM) I don't understand the statistics. What is the flexi withdrawal? It's says :- If the amount withdrawn has jumped in %, wouldn't it mean more people are inclined to withdraw (more) money out than keeping it with EPF ? Why the conclusion is this :- Can someone enlighten me ? Maybe he means they dont withdraw ALL their monies. |

QUOTE "In line with the creation of the KWSP-I account, Section 27 will be amended to enable two dividend rates to be announced for EPF contributors," he said Further under the new amendments, the EPF board may have the power to declare a dividend of not less than 2.5% per annum for members who have not elected for their accounts to be managed according to syariah principles. The Bill also states that the EPF may have the power to declare a dividend of not less than 2.5% per annum for those whose elections have not taken effect. "In respect of contributions made by the members of the Fund whose elections for their accounts be managed according to the Syariah under the proposed section 43A have come into effect, the Board shall declare dividend at any rates according to the actual performance of the investment made by the Board in relation to the accounts," reads the Bill. It's all about Syariah. If you choose not to be under this scheme, then you do not partake in the performance of the Fund. Then their obligation is only 2.5% as far as they are concerned. Meaning everyone irrespective of race and religion is FORCED to accept Islamic principles. This is Malaysian fair and equitable principles. QUOTE(Ramjade @ Oct 21 2015, 08:59 AM) Then what is this? Not taken effect means its being done. It meant even those who didn't make the change, EPF can give dividend of min 2.5%. So is not restricted to those who switch. However the others statement is clear on those who choose not to take up the Syariah fund |
