QUOTE(virtualgay @ Aug 9 2023, 02:56 PM) is all about dividend la... I'm thinking around 5.5% - 5.8%.and here we always talk about other thing than dividend... so next year dividend anyone want to tikam? The results of 1Q23 looks better vs 1Q22, but it pales to 2021, so just predict its gonna be somewhere between both. |

They do publish annual financial report: https://www.kwsp.gov.my/documents/20126/213...t=1665076903444
OR at least they did until 2021, so you can kinda glance and see what are the breakdown. |

QUOTE(prophetjul @ Sep 27 2023, 09:44 AM) Not sure what it means whether Conventional up or down? My understanding, which I could ge wrong is last time be it conventional or syariah, its all one big fund when they buy. So they buy maybank 10%, genting 10% etc etcHowever, how would EPF do this? Why do they even need to do this? But when declare, syariah one won't get genting while conventional one get. But because of this, there are times where you would have wanted to buy maybank 20% however since its combined, its 10 + 10. So with this, they can now "utilise" it and buy what syariah compliant shares with more % rather than have to compromise when it was in the same fund sharing. |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Oct 10 2023, 04:52 PM) Introducing the idea of tiered dividend. If you rich, then return should be lower so its fair lo to the poor. If you poor return should be higher so encourage you to save. And change withdrawal rule so cannot withdraw suka hati. All one shot kena game. https://theedgemalaysia.com/article/state-n...ome-epf-members |

QUOTE(Wedchar2912 @ Oct 11 2023, 01:43 PM) I know it didn't come from you.... This gomen seems desperate to win the B40 votes at the expanse of the M's and T's.but how does lower return to the rich is fair to the poor? sounded like I am poor but at least I have my health... rich people should not have their health kinda saying... But I see no problem gov implementing UBI for all Malaysians, and tax the high income kau kau... that is fair.... jack up income tax to 50% (for example) and remove all fuel subsidies and intro GST. Then give everyone 2K rm, for example. The poor will benefit for sure. Savings and EPF savings are due to hard work and prudential spending and some luck, not free money from gov. You already can see articles like this been seeded since 2020, so sooner or later someone will come up with some corporate jargonist reason on why that is considered fair. If they change the withdrawal terms, we also can't do anything |

QUOTE(CommodoreAmiga @ Oct 13 2023, 05:43 PM) WTF. 10 years habis liao. I think i already took RM900. 5K how to sara? And what is this Akaun Fleksibel?? It's a way to quiet down those "let me take my money" noises.Maybe they will say a few % of the EPF money goes into this and you can withdraw it anytime without penalty or reason. But it might be lower dividend or something kot to discourage this. |

QUOTE(taitianhin @ Oct 13 2023, 09:15 PM) I think is legit...the system is not complicated... It will not be on Acc 1 or 2, likely separated with owners can opt to put a few % that they can withdraw as they like.probably is a yearly adjustable %. Probably 1% or 2%. And I bet is on Acc 2 Can only be adjust once a year on certain period of time Will be interesting to see what's the t&c around it. |

QUOTE(taitianhin @ Oct 13 2023, 09:28 PM) Ya... my expectation is Getting portion of supposed deposit of Acc2, This is to address the portion of people that every year ask to withdraw EPF la. Nothing much to it.we can opt to get a portion of 1-2% on new deposit on Acc2, to be transfer to Acc3 But this will be on New deposit. Current Acc2 is still untouch... The amount will end up very small At the end, we just playing around that 23% of EPF deposit |

QUOTE(HolyCooler @ Nov 9 2023, 04:17 PM) https://www.enanyang.my/%E8%B4%A2%E7%BB%8F%...IQAvzP1RdWox6CI Bro, the survey already made clear, that they were interviewing mass affluent folks and asking them what they think THEY need to have a comfortable retirement. These are people with a current net worth of RM470,000 to RM9.4 million. Most interviewees said M40/M20 need around rm 3.9mil only can retire "comfortably". Personally i think the meaning of comfortably is difference for each person (age factor, life style, etc). Some can retire comfortably with 1mil, some 2mil, 3mil, etc. That means they were asking people with an average net worth of RM4mil how much they need to retire, and the answer was RM4mil, which tracks. These people aren't even M40/M20 level, they are T10 or T0.1 side. CommodoreAmiga and HolyCooler liked this post
