Everything would be impacted one...
No escape from any downtrend of any market...

The payout that I meant is the income generated need to be paid fully... Cannot really carry forward to next financial years... Especially for shariah savings type... It's the Islamic finance principal...
*
Now only I know Islamic Finance cannot keep pocket

Like that could be roller coaster neh and come bad year then sure kena

So called analyst / economist prediction for EPF dividends rated

5.75% to 6% range for Conventional EPF saving

5.6% to 5.9% range for Shariah EPF saving

Really contra & opposite of what majority saying...
Shariah would outperform Conventional type saving

You meant the 2.5% guaranteed dividend rate??

Sure it's one of the selling point... Compared with Shariah one...

Because even EPF loss making, they need to somehow dig somewhere to pay...
*
imagine when really so bad that this is happening

conv terpaksa pay 2.5%

will they declare another one 0%

even covid year they still gave a good return so for me the past 10y trend already a good confidence rsther than the 2.5% guarantee

well primary objective for opting syariah should not be profit anyway

: )

So far, the lowest point in recent memories is around 4% range....

Personally I think EPF is not so bad critical situation....
They sure got some profitable investment portfolio that is giving double digits returns... Which can somehow covers those below par performance investment portfolio 😁
*
Even 2020 still at 5.2%

Good enough to give confidence smile.gif

Interesting..

I know someone similar like yours situation BUT don't have 500k in EPF.....

Because already withdrawn for Education & Housing purposes.... And not forgetting the special withdrawal during COVID-19 periods... Finally recent account 3 flexible.....

Only got Savings in EPF, because of mandatory contribution... If not, that also don't have....
*
Majority of mine also not in EPF

Altho EPF recently offers 1%+ vs ASM but I still don't like the idea of getting RM1mil locked inside for another 10 years+

Now still thinking when is the best timing to start moving RM100k over every year

Checked BNM website [https://www.bnm.gov.my/documents/20124/8292..._table_A.18.pdf]

BLR by end of 2010 was 6.27% and gradually reached 6.79% in 2015

My offer was BLR -1.90% = from 4.63% to 4.89%

Hahahaha...

Good one...

But I stand on my prediction of max 6%

Anything if indeed given higher is considered as sweet bonuses πŸ™‚
*
Chinese newspaper also reported so called 'expert' predicted max 6.0%

All so conservative or really EPF no more breakthru

Then the gap vs ASB (hopefully also ASM) become less than 1% liao

They copied my prediction huh πŸ˜‚πŸ˜œ

Already did such big blunder & mistake last year.... So not doing the same this year.... So Conservative numbers all the way....

Ahhh....
Totally forgotten about ASB... If 5.8%... then it's so near to ASB rates already....
*
Basically, that analyst gave reason although investment return up, total AUM also up so this will drag the div % to max 6.0%

TLDR: Fund size too big!!!

With so many rounds of compassion withdrawal the AUM went up?
*
In case you didn't get to folow waht we discussed, someone shared here before

Voluntary contribution 10months @ RM11.16b alone can cover all the Account 3 withdrawals 9 months RM10.78b

So this again proves most of the $$$ are with the countable rich compared to the mass poor

Don't forget the main one

Monthly mandatory contribution which confirm come in like brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

And soon additional 4% from FW... EPF cash rich yo! AUM no up??? I think up until EPF kena outsource to investment firm kaw kaw

So those who say EPF already kosong memang no use their thinking ability and logic at all

Even kosong also every month brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr and people keep pumpinmg RM100k every year

Actually speaking

EPF must do some kind of road show / expos to explain all their products, services & dividend calculation....

Not everyone is knowledgeable or have time just go EPF office...

Can do weekend roadshows at malls or something like that ...
*
no need la

already many contributing voluntarily berbillion until kena outsource

now dont even see they open to encourage nomination outside like last time

save OT and rental to pay dividend perhaps

Logical point...

Maybe another fund manager, ASNB could learn some few things.... Cut unnecessary expenses & dead wood in their offices....

EPF is one of the most professionally managed.....

KWAP can perform well above average... So EPF easily can give 5.8% & above.... But lower than 6.10% because payout ratio won't be 100% 😁
*
FM II gave good indication [Source]

Basically he said Q4 also kept performed like the first 3Qs (η»§η»ζœ‰θΏ™ζ ·ηš„θ‘¨ηŽ°)

And the div % will be encouraging (δ»€δΊΊιΌ“θˆž)

But I will just keep expectation low and wait for announcement

And yes, agreed ASNB should look into spending otherwise don't be surprised why AUM no grow

I also prefer to expect for reasonable % and anything more will be bonus

Well everyone definately hope to get better return but call me conservative, just don't want to be disappointed by unrealistic expectations

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Feb 24 2025, 08:32 PM)
KWAP is 12% ohhhh

Don't think can be such high level ROI...

After minus all the expenses, buffer, write-downs etc.

Might be looking around 6% +/-
*
Don't know the details but 12% is very impressive

They said need to keep some, for fear of market manipulation... Since EPF is the biggest players & prime mover of Bursa Malaysia

Even our beloved unit trust fund 'reserve' also like never depleted one

How much balance left? hmm.gif

The numbers keep increasing....

Weird....
They know something we don't know
EPF got do "secret meetings" with certain analyst / investment banks...
*
Most probably after saw FM II aka EPF ex-boss gave hint so they UP their tikam a bit

This year one too???

I don't think they would still do the same...

Feels like they already got some initial info leaks....

Keep saying highest in 3 years.... πŸ€”πŸ§
*
From results from 3 quarters and FM II confirming Q4 also doing in par that should be the way

Last year IINM they tikam before got the info on Q4 result (and probably did not expect a chunk was not realised)

Anyway, left 3 days to know whether their 'analysis' accurate or down the drain again

I'm sure he knows what talking about.... Probably already saw the numbers earlier since position as FM2....

I'm expecting 6% πŸ™
*
FM II? He definately saw the results, discussed & decided the % now only to let current EPF boss to announce it

6%? Next is hope ASM will show 5.25% then the gap become < 1% devil.gif

definately the percentage already decided...

But they really kept it well...

No leaks at all (or maybe already leak via all the various analyst????)

That why all playing 6% to 6.2% numbers range.... Could be between that.... Cannot give specific number... OSA law might be slapped πŸ˜‚
