The government cares. Only for the votes by gratifying the immediate needs of the voters. Why do they care 20 years down the road? THAT is some else's problem.

Sad to say that you may be right.

Anyway sorry for going off track. Mods don't like politik talk here.

i wanna ask now account 1 and account 2 the ratio / spit by % is 70% vs 30%

so let us assume now i have 70k in account 1, 30k in account 2 then when account 3 introduce will it will be 75%, 15% and 10%

so they gonna rebalance our account and in my account 3 i can have 10k after the rebalancing?

so if my account 1 is 100k and account 2 is 0k because i take out for my housing loan, so when they rebalance it will i get 75k, 15k and 10k. I dont think it make sense... just dont know how their formula works

those with almost zero account 2 will not benefit from this that is how i see it

There is no point to speculate on this now. Just wait for the official announcement.

Epf may or may not be a ponzi unless and until they release annual audit to parliament and the general public on how much money goes in, how much they lose or gain via investments and etc.

So without the audit, they may very well be a ponzi scheme. You and I will never know
*
Their annual reports are available on their website and audited by Auditor General of Malaysia.

No need. They can withdraw most of their money anytime through Account 55.

since more liquidity for acc3, can we assume withdrawal can b make online. thus makin its like 'bank' wit high interes. then its good, no reason to park money at kdi save/ versa cash. soemore can have income tax rebate for voluntary epf contribution..
*
Provided
(1) acc 3 has the same dividend as acc 1 & 2 and
(2) you can specifically self contribute into acc 3 alone (highly unlikely)

You meant from this statement??

"On the redistribution of existing funds from Account 2, it is understood that one-third of the funds could go into the Account 3 while one-sixth will go into Account 1. The remaining balance will remain in Account 2".

Then Money from a/c 2 will also moved to a/c 1??
What is the meaning of " on the redistribution of existing funds from a/c2?"
*
Example, acc 2 now RM9000,
RM3000 will go to acc 3 (33.33%)
RM1500 will go to acc 1 (16.67%)
Left RM4500 in acc 2 (50%)

If it's true la.

I think, if it is true,
Then some of those currently at the 47 -50 may make noise as they want to be able to take out all in a/c2 when they reach age 50. Instead of having 16.67% lesser after having being forced to move that 16.67% to a/c1 and locked till age 55
*
Well there's good and bad as they can also take out 33.33% earlier before reaching age 50.

The dividend rate of Acc 3 is the deciding factor. If it's same as Acc 1&2, then it's a no-brainer to move the max amount into Acc 3.

Can i assume that every month, my future dividend is "confirmed"?
So that i can move my future dividends out in the present?
For eg if i have RM5mil. I assume 5.5% dividend for 2024.
Every month, i should have RM22,916.66 dividend for FY2024.
Can i can move this out every month without affecting my 'principal' of RM5mil?

i am shifting more into SG bank stocks.  smile.gif

poweredbydiscuz says no.

How is the EPF dividend rate calculated.

https://www.kwsp.gov.my/documents/20119/441...51-a2e1f741844a

As you can see in the FAQ, they don't include the dividend (eg RM29.82, RM29.63, RM35.77) into next month dividend calculation.

BUT, it also say:
Means the principal sum which is already present must be earning dividends daily ALTHOUGH it is not shown till the next year?
*
Of course the principal sum will earn dividend, but not the dividend itself. That dividend will only masuk and start to earn dividend on the next year.

Also, you withdraw before the dividend masuk, so it will deduct from your principal sum ie you will get less dividend.

So the statement by EPF is erroneous!
If it is earning, then why can it not be withdrawn??????????????  laugh.gif

Because this year "earning" can only be known on next year? How they let you withdraw it when they dono how much is the dividend?

At least, they should allow the guaranteed 2.5%?

Otherwise, their statement is erroneous?

Honestly, I don't see what's wrong with that.

Any other funds that let you withdraw "future" dividend now without affecting the current principal sum?
