i have been using LTE for the pass few days ever since returning back to msia. using LTE by maxis. quite similar to 3G speed for most of the things i do, althou on speedtest, its significantly higher la?

anyone experience the 'real' speed of LTE? what do you do with it?
*
i'm experiencing the same as you, only difference is i'm on Philippines Telco.
theres really no difference unless loading a huge file or streaming.
3G is already sufficient

yeah i get about full bar of LTE most of the time when im around the city. but i barely feel the difference when using normal apps compared to when it was with 3G.
instagram for example still takes a few seconds to load, almost similar to what you get when you're on 3G.
hm now just thinking how else to utilize the LTE speed on the phone. perhaps skype wud have significant difference. haven tried that.

I'm on iOS7 and LTE works just fine.

Hey there, did you make any changes with your carrier before/after upgrade? I have changed my sim card to nano SIM yesterday and I still couldn't get any LTE connection at coverage area. I've tried contacting with maxis at twitter however they are unable to confirm iOS 7 for the LTE connection.

Update your carrier settings to Maxis 14,5

Mine works fine at KLCC, usually get full LTE bar near Maxis center there. Even got coverage at Avenue K Fitness 1st.

Hmm currently my carrier setting is 14.5 but I didn't get any LTE signal, it just remained 3G as it is at Taman Connaught, where the area is announced as coverage area few days ago. Not sure what's the problem.

By the way did you get your LTE connection before you upgrade to iOS 7?

when i went to sunway there were LTE and its full bar... so i got to test some of the apps such as youtube, google maps, and internet browser... definitely faster than 3g and snappier.... and the best part is unlike 3g, my batt seems to be longer than just surfing with 3g only....
oh the call also improve drastically.... i can hear the sound from the caller just like skype on wifi which is crystal clear..

maybe just my feelings... maybe there's an explanation behind it... but sorry cant help much

bro LTE drains more battery than 3G does. think it might just b a psychological thing perhaps.
i was quite excited to use LTE when i first got back here, but it seems like not much difference as compared to 3G for the apps that i use.

How do you update to Maxis 14.5? I'm unfortunately still on Maxis 14.1.

Honestly for me, I don't find Digi coverage a problem at all.. everywhere i go in Kuching, i can get 3G.. even at my home now I get full 3G signal compared to only getting 2 bar EDGE signal few years back..
