carrier editor is a software to change the carrier into logo, other wording etc, it doesnt need jailbreak to do so, theres a software call carrier editor to do this, my phone didnt get the update carrier due to this thing, so wat i did is i change back my carrier to ori celcom n walaa.. update pop up, but since u dont know about it so i guess ur prob not same as mine, good luck tho

Finally, the update carrier version pop up just now for my celcom 6.1.2 jb ip5. Been using the 3GB data plan. Now celcom 14.1. Once i have the LTE, will try to do the speedtest & update here

Anyone can confirm here that maxis ip5 can support lte in jailbreak phone?cause i try using celcom sim card from my ipad mini(jailbreak) that hv lte to my ip5, but cannot detect to update carrier setting.that phone was bought in february n under maxis warranty.

I switch from LTE to 3G in the option in NCsettings. Tried off the 3G.. Then guess what, i'm able to get 'E' line now.

Refer to this thread on how to change carrier version, no need to jailbreak. Its the same steps for changing your carrier logo, but just select text on the option instead of image.

i have been using LTE for the pass few days ever since returning back to msia. using LTE by maxis. quite similar to 3G speed for most of the things i do, althou on speedtest, its significantly higher la?

anyone experience the 'real' speed of LTE? what do you do with it?

celcom currently cannot use LTE in ios 7 beta 1, because it released before celcom carrier update.
