Do I have to change a new SIM card for my iPhone in order to use the LTE?

I've been using iOS 7 beta and my carrier setting is Maxis 14.5 and not 14.1 as I have seen from others.

I have been to a lot of LTE area but it still detecting 3G network only instead of LTE.

BTW my phone is not from maxis however it is model A1429 which I believe it does compatible with the LTE from maxis.

Anyone having any idea on how to activate the LTE?



**Edit: Just a note, my SIM card is the big size card at first, then cut it into nano sized using cutter, does it have any effect about it?

Currently family package supp line 30 with an extra RM48/month data plan (1GB) monthly pass.

Oh I see, so do I have to pay to change the SIM card? Hmm didn't know full size SIM doesn't support LTE, I thought they all are the same

Hey there, did you make any changes with your carrier before/after upgrade? I have changed my sim card to nano SIM yesterday and I still couldn't get any LTE connection at coverage area. I've tried contacting with maxis at twitter however they are unable to confirm iOS 7 for the LTE connection.

Hmm currently my carrier setting is 14.5 but I didn't get any LTE signal, it just remained 3G as it is at Taman Connaught, where the area is announced as coverage area few days ago. Not sure what's the problem.

By the way did you get your LTE connection before you upgrade to iOS 7?

Hmm, I've updated to beta 2 and LTE is now available Maxis carrier upgraded to 14.5.1 btw
