I checked sammobile and got informed S3 will get S4 features too,what features can we get actually,anyone got idea ?

I believe some features that requires hardware like pedometer won't be available since S3 doesn't have it.

IINM, whatever that connects via bluetooth should be purely a software function since the sensor is in the bluetooth device, which just reports over bluetooth link to an app on the phone.

Agreed.. The design is a huge let down. I am thinking either I am going for s4 or htc one but my heart keep pushing me to get htc one. S3 was successful bcos the day it was launched, there was only one serious competitor and it was htc one x. And htc one x back camera design is Horrible and to add with bad battery life, no sd and non removeable battery...Now S4 is not the only one with huge full hd screen and thin body. I think that Samsung doesn't work really hard enough on their S4. But whatever it is, this is Samsung.just like iPhone they are an established company. I think s4 will still sell very well but they need to do much better than this for the note3 and even s5 if they don't want to loose their customers.

Samsung must have done tons of research/survey before deciding on final design. They are not any ABC company.
Is easy for anyone to say poor design
Business sales target to meet the needs of the masses n for profit. Too bad some will be dissapointed.
Samsung I believe is prepared for possible failure continuing with such strategy. Only we will know in next 6 months.
Is simple if you don't like the design get others
Xperia Z example most users gloat about its classy, premium looks BUT I beg to differ. To me is just a big piece of glassy rectangular slab. I don't see or appreciate any design cues in it n yet is my main phone now n quite happy with it ( my preferred is still Note2). Design is subjective.

my phone SDS yesterday morning (phone hangs n after replace battery cannot boot past galaxy white logo)..only can enter download mode but fail to install stock rom via odin..after a lil bit googling n trying i still cant pass the logo..so without hesitate I send to SC PJ cause still under warranty..

at night sammy technician call me n said have to change mobo..bcoz im rooted they must charge for the repair for almost rm700..then said got discount 30% become rm500..im shocked but he recommend me to take it to other SC (1U or usj) for repair said there is a chance they will not charge there..

so now i need confirmation hav anybody got tru dis? i dont want waste my time go everywhere but also got same result have to pay huge amount..

(suggest to add SDS info to the front page..it is common to s3 user nowadays)

To possibly save about RM500/RM700 you are not willing to make a trip which is not very far, to at least find out?

I suppose those phones that have "design" as one of the key selling points of the device seems to attract irrational atachment. It seems once the word "premium design" or "sexy design" is part of the marketing, you probably start having irrational fanboyism.

I recall LG liked to market the heck out of every teensy weensy insignificant feature about 5+ years ago ... pink phone for ladies with all the floral stuff, the twistable camera so you can take shots of yourself and they used a pair of tango dancers for that ad....

Samsung has never been much about design but functionality.

I am not defending Samsung but saying that some here value functionality over aesthetics, while others are the opposite. I am also offering my 2 cents about why some threads attract more fanboyism than others. I may be wrong and welcome correction.

And ultimately, you have the constraint of your 4.x" or 5.x" or 6.x" slab of glass as the centerpiece. Even women's powder boxes (the ones with multiple colored powders and a rectangular mirror) are all THE SAME SHAPE, they only tend to differ on the logo on top and color of the cover. The base is usually gold or silver PLASTIC.

dun get me wrong,my point is looking for S4's motion/software features will available for S3 owner in next firmware update.

From what I know (at least),we will get smart scrolling and smart pause etc.

How about the camera feature,air view,air gesture and the rest features of s4

thats why i ask here..who have send to other SC with rooted phone and got their phone successfully repair/replacing chip or wateva without any charge..if not i will find out myself and give feedback later wor..
