QUOTE(sophan @ Feb 14 2013, 12:15 PM) using init.d script, just edit text in script, by the way, i'm not sure other kernel, i'm using motleys. wow.. thanks for the tips.enable init.d using this app : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1933849 then search for sample script: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...02#post37673702 put it in system root /etc/init.d/ and set permission (tick all) turn off / on screen. done. correct me if i'm wrong.. QUOTE(azrash @ Feb 14 2013, 12:50 PM) other kernels allows full gamma tweaking too. you probably can still use the same script just that you have to change some variable. best way is to look for the instruction in the said kernel thread. found the script but the script quite long.. gotta type them out one by one in terminal emulator for testing? first thing first is you must disable all other colour tweaking tools (trickster, faux etc) you can then run the script in terminal first or via script manager to check the new colour setting without rebooting. just run the script as su, power off the screen and the new colour setting should be visible. once you are satisfied with the colour settings, put the script in init.d folder and set the appropriate permission (rwxr-xr-x) now it will set the colour setting at boot. btw, you can also put the script here data/local/userinit.d folder. this will ensure that it'll survive a ROM update.most likely not. just check the nightly thread just in case. you'll still have to update the bootloader/radio etc manually via fastboot though. if you are on CM, just wait until CM release 4.2.2 before updating those bootloader/radio etc because AFAIK, the kernel source have not been released yet, and some users that are using custom rom have reported that updating the radio breaks auto brightness and auto rotate. we'll need new kernels that supports these new firmwares first. |

QUOTE(azrash @ Feb 14 2013, 04:12 PM) read the OTA Help-Desk link, it depends on what setup you are on now and which method of updating you want to use. to be more specific:Don't have to, save the text as a script and run it with script manager or via terminal with su command for testing purposes. save the text to test.sh file and; type: SU <enter> exec sh /mtn/sdcard/scripts/test.sh <enter> correct? |

QUOTE(sophan @ Feb 14 2013, 12:15 PM) using init.d script, just edit text in script, by the way, i'm not sure other kernel, i'm using motleys. i tried the script provided by jazzboyrules from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...02#post37673702enable init.d using this app : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1933849 then search for sample script: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...02#post37673702 put it in system root /etc/init.d/ and set permission (tick all) turn off / on screen. done. correct me if i'm wrong.. 91rgbgammaPAhalfbreed.zip and 91rgbgammaPAcontrasty.zip felt that halfbreed is nicer for me. later i tried to edit the numbering from the sample zip file » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « but can't run the script using terminal (error appeared) because i cant find mids (found mid) and grays setting in the sample script. any idea? |

actually i found out that the battery drained very fast when you can not get good H/3G signal at your area.. very very fast drain.
i experienced that because during cny i back to KL grandparent house and the area has almost 3-4 full bar of H signal, and the battery always 3G-ON is quite nice, around 3.5-4hours. (whatsapp, fb, messenger, chrome browser) but at my place, johor. when the area has really bad signal which keep switching H<>E<>G ... there you go.. battery drained really fast.
