Yeah the U letter in your system version code means it's a US set, if UK set it would be E. So you're safe, and you can play most of the English games sold in Malaysia if they have that rating system (E for everyone/T for teens/M for mature) That means the US or Asian games. Still can't play JAP or PAL games though, so the guy saying it can play all games is... This is not normal DS lor... Not region-free.

Since you bought from an actual shop the game price is to be expected. The adapter price, like so many people said, is exorbitant, but since you've opened the box I guess they won't take it back now. But all in all, I'm glad you at least got the SD card money back.

You'd have to make sure the 3DS XL is a US unit, and with the US game (either one of the 6). Register them on Club Nintendo and walah, the game is yours.

I saw that Animal Crossing: New Leaf was one of the games in that list. So I was thinking, will buying the AC:NL 3DS bundle work the same as buying a 3DS console + AC:NL separately?

go to your club nintendo account.. you will be able to see every registered product there.. if it's there that mean u are eligible
