I saw many people said build up good lense first before you jump FX, actually how does it works?
You buy all good prime DX lense and later move to FX body, still the DX lenses need to be upgrade right? Or does it means using FX body with the existing DX lense, and slowly convert DX lens to FX lens

Now I considering D600, but I don have much good lense now, so I should stick back D7000?

Now using d3100
My lense:
AFS Nikkor 70-300 4.5 5.6 G (my favorite lense, I like far shot)
AFS Nikkor 50mm 1.8 G (for fast, night, or good bokeh)
AFS Nikkor 18-55mm 3.5 5.6 G (anything else)

When they say build up good lens first, it means buying FX lens. My case, I started with 50, 70-200, 16-35, 85 then jump to FX. After I jump to FX only added 35 and TC.

50mm f/1.8G is a FX lens, 70-300 also is FX smile.gif just if you jump FX you need a mid range or a UWA... consider the 24-120, 24-70 or 16-35? or the mighty 14-24 tongue.gif

IMHO. good lens is indispensable.
having a good lens is better compared to awesome body but entry lens. Talking about bokeh, when u venture to FF.. u wont go back to DX.

most of the DX user contemplate for the last upgrade which is going to FF ( $$$ ). if u have the budget. why not? smile.gif
* Celciuz already spoken thumbup.gif

Except when you need the 1.5x telephoto tongue.gif I technically "went back to DX" when shooting MotoGP with my D800 tongue.gif

Pic is noisy... mainly due to high ISO, but it was raining also so that's affecting the optics too sad.gif

Comparison when shooting without the rain...

Thanks sifu for your input  rclxms.gif
I'm more concerned about the "napkin" style, small AF over anything else for the d600... Not sure how it will fare...
I still think d800 is too much for me, although I know its very good laugh.gif

get the D700 if ur on a budget
get the D800 if u have the moolah - trust me, 36mp is just nice. not overkill/too much/too keng/monster kill/watsoever. its just nice. and also..phenomenal smile.gif

Unless you're shooting in Australia then it could be flies... tongue.gif I had to burst when taking landscape... cause the fly tend to get into my frame and spoiling the pic! LOL

Get the DX since you're on DX. Unless you planning to go for the bigger bomb... the f/1.4G.

Thanks, so FX lense will work perfectly for DX body? Only concern for FX lens is price...?

Better stick back d7000 and practice more
