BTW, I just received my 4.2.2 OTA update from Google. However upon update some verification failed, I'm guessing might because my device is rooted. So now when I click System Update, the check stated my device is updated where else it still 4.2.1.
So may I know will I still get the OTA update later? Or I have to do manual flash?
Thanks!

Just got the update to 4.2.2 update on my stock, non-rooted Nex7. Well, I actually forced it (Google Services Framework -> Force Stop -> Clear Data). The download took forever, for some reason, maybe the servers were busy. Waited almost 10 minutes for the download and reinstall.
Anyways, nothing much to add. I never bothered with bluetooth streaming, so didn't really test to see if they fixed that. One bug I did have before has been fixed. Previously, if I turned of (full off, not standby) the tablet and plugged it in to charge, the thing would automatically boot up again. Now it's gone back to default behaviour, just showing a white battery icon while charging when off. Haven't yet had time to see if it fixed my second problem, which is the slow charge times.
Also seems to have new lock-screen widgets for Google Now, though I'm not sure if this was from 4.2.2 update or the update I had for Google Now just before that.

Where do I get the "Google Services Framework"? Under setting? Or the option only available while updating?

Settings -> Apps -> All Scroll down to Google Services Framework Tap "Force Stop" and then "Clear Data" Go back to Settings main page and scroll down to "About tablet" Click System updates and "Check Now"
Some people say you have to repeat the process a few times for the update to show, but it came within the first try for me. I usually just wait a few days and it automatically comes, but this time I'll be traveling abroad (flight later today) and wanted to get the update over and done with.
Note: I've only ever done this on a stock unrooted Nexus 7. No idea how it affects rooted devices, but you may lose root. Either way, if I'm rooted, I'm usually on a custom ROM (like on my previous Galaxy Nexus running Bugless Beast), so I just wait for the ROM dev to issue an updated build a few days after Google releases the AOSP sources.

There is already one - and is not a bad rom , one of the better ones I'd say ( tested previously his 4.2.1 ) : Codefire X http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2043095I believe over the next few days you will be seeing developers releasing their 4.2.2 version. As is only a minor update, it is not that difficult for them to do it

Hello, I have my nexus 7 3g for two month now, now that a new firmware 4.2.2 is out.
Will I loose my data or game progress that I have after this upgrade?
I will wait for the online upgrade. Thanks
