Hi all,
I will be at Langkawi on 12 Jan to 14 Jan next year therefore I'm currently gathering information on accommodation and food.
after go through this whole thread I have come up with 2:
1. AB Motel
2. Langkasuka Beach Resort

what I know is AB is on Cenang beach itself so u can enjoy white sand at your door step.
and Langkasuka Beanch having quite good comment too at here, with spacious room and nice overall.
does this means: it depends on what i want?
anyone please give me advise on this if you have any.

other than that, some of you said that cable car & pulau payar cant be miss for 1st timer.
and some also discussed bout the mangrove and island hoping tour.
therefore I was confused with these
from what I understand, there are 3 types of activities:
1. Snorkeling at Pulau Payar
2. Island Hoping (include Pulau Payar but not snorkeling?)
3. Mangrove tour
am I correct?
so.. which 1 is the 1 I shouldn't miss when I'm going there for 1st time..??

lastly.. it's regarding the room rates at asia web and it's a bit complicated..
under Super Deal Special, Deluxe King (2 pax) is 126 MYR per night.
and under Special Internet Rates, Deluxe King (2 pax) is 165 MYR per night
that means Internet rates is more expensive than Super deal..
then what for I go for Internet?
hope someone can enlighten me on this..
(thought I've already sent them an inquiry to ask about this..so if nobody can answer then I will wait for their reply)

Anyone know the rates for mangrove swamp tour with bat caves? Couldn't see one for local people (most websites targetted foreginers)

I have get offer from agent with rate RM 180 per pax for 3-4 hrs mangrove trip, an activities as below:
Bat Cave, Cave of Legends, Eagle Feeding, Local Fish Farm, mangrove forrest, include pick-up from hotel

Its the price resonable? or any intro to get better offer? kindly advice

Hi, was thinking about going to langkawi around early Nov.... should i pre-book a land tour package with a travel agency or should i get the land tour package once i am at langkawi?

I'm more of particular regarding the quality of tour and sight seeing programs, paying slightly more in exchange for better services is reasonable in my opinion.

In Langkawi, no need any land arrangement except hotel., Transport just rent a car & you are as good as other tourist dy..

hi, going to langkawi in early nov.. this thread is very informative and helpful.

on the first page, i understand the car rental rate is average for offpeak (early nov off peak?). at these rates, is the car legal for rental? does it cover insurance and liability, excess??

What I know is, can deal directly with the boatman at Tanjung Rhu, can get RM200 per BOAT, for 8 person max...

can anyone assist me in securing a booking at one of the resorts at pantai canang fr 31dec till 2nd jan??....any reckon??
