Hiya, thought of going during Hari Raya too, 19-21 Sept....Will drive and park the car at Kuala Kedah.

Now searching for budget accomodation, either at Kuah town or Pantai Cenang.  Sent out a few emails, no replies yet..

I'm not so worry about food.  Can survive on bread and sardine/tuna, also, I remember got KFC there...
*
Can I suggest Zackry's Guesthouse? i'll be there 18th to 20th Sept. Zackry's is located at pantai tengah.

1 boat normally they will charge you around RM 230. That is the cheapest price I got so far. I boat I think maximum can fit around 10 people although I think 8 would be the best. Actually, it is not that exp afterall. 230/8 comes out to be around 29 bucks per person only. If you go alone, sharing the boat with others, it would easily cost you 100 and above.

oh.. u mean they only cost by the boat la?
so only RM230 / 8 paxs then can round all the places and caves la?

i thought u said RM230 per person le rclxm9.gif

Nop. No matter how many person (max 8), it is still rm200/boat. If you have only 2person, either you want 2person/boat or wait till thery find enough person for 1boat.

Who want to give discount during holiday peak season. Got money don't no how to earn meh. doh.gif

You don't need to book or contact. Just go direct to tanjung rhu and ask there. Don't go thru 3rd party or 4th party agent. Direct to the boatmen or the counter.

Thanks ozak. That's what I've heard too. Go to Tanjung Rhu and direct from the boatman.

Added on August 28, 2009, 1:33 pmOh, I forgot to ask... what's the duration for the "standard" tour and what are the activities included in the tour?

Hi all, after working in and out of Langkawi for the last 4 years, I would like to share with you some of the interesting places to visit.

As I read earlier, some of you wanted to know more about the Mangrove trips there. It is true that you can go straight to Tanjung Rhu and inquire about the boat tours and the trip takes you through the Mangrove, Eagle Feeding and stopping at Hole In The Wall floating restaurant and fish farm. In my link, I have a writeup with pictures and directions here. If you love nature and want to experience something different in Langkawi, I recommend this place.

hm... i bought tickets to langkawi this coming december. based on this topic, i think i should be ok with surrounding since last time ive been there was 8 years back.

i got few things to ask though, i booked on the 6th-8th (sunday-tuesday). it is just after LIMA 2009 (1st-5th dec). anybody here thinks i might face heavy crowds, even after LIMA?

since its school holidays, definitely its a peak season ait? is car rental rates will be higher? is there a car to rent due to LIMA?

Cheers!!

Drive to kuala kedah and park our car at a school pay RM10 per day. School guard will jaga your car.
Then take ferry to Langkawi and rent car there. I stay at Perdana Beach Resort near Air-port and pantai cenang.

Wanna book the resort there? heheh PM if interested because the resort are for member only.. :>:> icon_rolleyes.gif

Breakfast bar is located along Pantai Cenang..

Be prepare for 2hr+. Don't ask more. No enjoy adventure and enjoy liao.

BTW. Sit at the head of the boat and take picture. Ask the boatmen show you some snake. This this extra activity that are not included. And don't go when hide tide.
