QUOTE(Damonzero @ Feb 14 2013, 08:14 AM) Detail review? all i can say its a good product. simple but effective to save fuel and to get good acceleration.use ECO mode from level 2 to 4. this is when u caught in jams. without potent sometimes u accidently throttle more even just to make the car move during heavy jams. so ur wasting fuel. but with ECO mode u can control the throttle better since ECO mode delay your throttle response. yes it moves really slow so for me i wont put ECO level 5 or 9. level 3 to 4 already enough. if you want to cruise like normal in hway put level 2 or 3. this setting may different from others so this is just suggestion.(some people have really heavy foot) the result? if normal mode in highway i can get only 7.1 l/100km. but in ECO mode level 2 i can get as down as 6.6 l/100km. I even can get 5.8 l/100km sometimes. this is hway condition only. if mix condition normal mode is 8.1 l/100km but in ECO level 2 i can get 7.6 to 7.1 l/100km. i try to get 7.1 l/100km in normal mode but i couldn't(mix). in ECO mode i can. other modes not yet try. just once in racing mode FH level 7. i tried it at standstill, and the acceleration is WOW!. never imagine the car can go that fast. and thats in level 7 only. but for me its already satisfying. but this review is only for 1.8 engine. 1.6 engine i'm sure will be differerent coz i heard only 1.8 with potent can increase 5 bhp. 1.6 maybe not that much. the reason i buy this is because i read so many reviews (Malaysia & US) that 1.8 engine throttle response is not as good as other 1.8 cars. so it makes me wonder maybe 1.8 engine was detune (at throttle) from factory in getting the 40mpg. so to override it potent is the answer. this will unleash the real potential of the car is... but i haven't really test the raw power of the engine and will not test it until i reach to 3000km or more. mau jaga engine ma.... |

Yup, I'm playing mp3 files in my 1.6HS I even used a 64GB finger. Make sure it's not m4a file as the HU can't read it. This post has been edited by stevenycs: Feb 14 2013, 10:05 AM |

You don't really need to change the settings that often after some time of using it actually. After a month or two of using it you will find a setting that will suit you most of the time. You will go crazy with FA mode when kena Tiong or in the mood to race. Most of the time maybe EC or HA is sufficient. And NO I'm not using the potent booster myself. But I'm one of the tester for the prototype unit |
