well that red K30 with 18-135mm sure is tempting as well. I wonder how much is K50 with 18-135mm lens costs since they dont list it together. hmm.gif

Not too sure. But I think if buy it separately is around RM3.5K. Just estimating. But if you buy it from BHPhoto. Can get the K-50 with 18-135 combo at USD846.95 which is around RM 2695.29 before shipping. But have to bear the risk.

Who knows maybe the 18-135 WR will get a replacement soon. No one knows.

Cheers bro........... icon_rolleyes.gif

To be honest if street photography is what you're after (and putting the fun back in photography), then there's no way around a Fuji.

I was actually considering either ricoh GR or a fuji for street photography though I lean more towards the GR since its looks pocketable thus easy to carry as well.

Very disappointing sad.gif At least we have a reason for the video SR f*** up... though that reason is quite bad.

At this point Pentax is dead to me, long live Samsung. The NX-1 is pretty much everything I could ever dream of... and then some. Except for the lack of in body SR and GPS, but it's so close... sweat.gif

Yah. The underdog(Samsung) has really shine with the NX-1. Especially if it is cheaper than the GH4 then it will be something to really looking forward for especially the 4K video. The problem is lack of good lenses and professional support. The Canon 7d Mark II looks pretty promising too for speed shooters.

Is nice how Ricoh responded on #19.
As you indicated in previous interviews, are you still considering expanding the K-mount camera system to use sensors larger than APS-C?
This is a question that we cannot disclose, but as I said in the 645Z questions, we think that the 645Z is one of our answers toward the high-end of customers.the bigger than APS-C size sensor camera.

That should shut a lot of full frame hippy up. Now we can proudly tell others who ask us the same old question, Pentax got no full frame ah? You can proudly say, got, Pentax 645D and 645Z

The 645Z is not an option to most though. Plenty of us have glass that works with a full frame Pentax, and can afford the 2k USD or so a FF Pentax might cost. But 8k or so, plus having to buy new lenses? Which are a few k each? And everything being extremely heavy? Plus a camera that does something like 2 fps or so? That's not an alternative.

The 645Z is a specialist camera for a couple of special purposes, much like an Arri Alexa is too. But it is out of range for most, and probably too much too.

Apparently Samsung has really good lenses, though not many admittedly. Reasonably priced I read somewhere... and lets not forget, it's a mirrorless. It does have a rather long flange distance for a mirrorless (no Leica M lenses then...), but will still take for example Pentax lenses.

Professional support... it's not like Pentax has it either. And only few photographers have access to it anyway, the rest just has 2 bodies if they need to.

Seem like the NX-1 is going to beat the D7100 and K-3 to the next Photokina or CP+ in terms or functions and specs. Image quality wise hmm.gif , lets wait and see.

I saw people posting link to flickr for NX1 sample pictures before. the 28mp is definitely crazy in detail but I am afraid the 16-50 and 50-180 aren't that good in IQ even at f8 or something. images have quite big amount of CA around corner and aren't that sharp too, not sure why but these images are removed from Samsung's flickr page. Samsung does have some interesting primes like 85mm f1.4 and a good macro lens compared to Sony.

Waaah..... Nikon D750 only launched few day price dropped from RM7354.09 (USD2299.95 Equivalant) now can get at RM5950.00 at KLDSLR

http://kldslr.com/new-nikon-d750-body-nikon-malaysia.html-1

I think that is the problem of ever popular cameras. Thank God Pentax is a bit different.

The D750 is a big disappointment IMHO, and so is 7D Mk II. No wonder they have to drop the price immediately. The K-3 price was also slashed recently...

There can always come better, sharper lenses. That's not so much of an issue IMHO, especially since you can adapt great old lenses for use with it.

Hey guys.

Went to KLPF yesterday and have a go at the K-S1. Its shutter sounded something like the K-30 and the image straight from the back of the screen is also similar to the K-30 tone. Vibrant. A bit on the pricey side though. RM2699 for body and 18-55 WR kit. You are actually paying for the compactness and design and 20mp. And the K-50 is going for RM1899.00 with kit lens if my brain din't screw me up.

Surprisingly the big brother Canon was absent and Samsung was not there either. So can't get a hold at the 7D Mark II and the NX-1. D750 was there, but is isolated inside a glass box. GH4 was there and the XT-1 was there to test too. Oh, and DG Color and Samyang was also absent too.

Cheeers......... icon_rolleyes.gif

The Samsung is at the moment only previewed... they are still working on it. I think they are aiming at a October or November launch?

I'm curious, how is the K-S1 to hold?
