For snapshots, more than enough. But the AF is a bit sluggish. But considering Im just using it for snapshots, it is good enough for me.

I like it. It's entry level. It's different. It gets attention. It has some neat improvements, especially for beginners. I don't know how it will be to hold in the hand, but I could imagine that it will sell reasonably well.

For example the Citroen C4 Picasso. Looks very striking, different. It's the best selling MPV in Europe. C4 Cactus... very odd looking thing, but sales seem strong.

Pentax is the place Frodo goes to to discard the ring.

The K-S1 looks good, could sell quite nicely. But the problem is brand awareness and pushing into the market. The ad is nice, but it should be on TV. Ads everywhere. And most of all have the cameras in stores. Everywhere.

But in the long run for the semi-pro/pro model I want video fixed (firmware update for K-3 and from then on stop f***ing up video in the first place!), an API that lets me control the camera over WiFi/BT and a beefier processor running Android in the camera. Not like with the Galaxy cameras, it should still be 100% DSLR, but with improved review functionality, the option of extending the camera via apps (API again), and proper smartphone like hardware. Good GPS, WiFi, high res high quality touchscreen with gorilla glass, USB OTG (and enough juice to drive an external 2.5" hard drive! And the option to save images immediately to the USB drive. Imagine taken photos straight onto a fast hard drive... endless bursts. laugh.gif ), ... .

Wow looks tempting especially the K-01. I wonder how good it is for those who have use it?
My initial thought is that this might be good for street photography especially when fitted with prime lens.

I think is like a mirror-less K-30. Not sure how quick is the focusing though. But the K-30 LV focusing in good lighting is pretty good.

Cheers............. icon_rolleyes.gif

well that red K30 with 18-135mm sure is tempting as well. I wonder how much is K50 with 18-135mm lens costs since they dont list it together. hmm.gif
