Ok manage to contact Hamrog and add as friend already.

If anyone wants to join us, contact us when you see me online and we'll tell you the server to join.

And another thing, we also tested the Steam voice chat and it should be able to work independent from the ingame voice chat, so at least we can communicate without typing and also ppl in dayz can't hear us if they are near.

To voicechat a friend in Steam, open a convo with him (Send Message) and on the drop down menu, "Start Voice chat" once you are in convo. Not too sure if this can be done when multiple ppl are in chat though.

Update:

Please use a headset/mic if you can. It makes communication so much easier. Since we got no TS/Mumble/Ventrillo provider, our best way to do this is via Steam Voice chat.

To join voice chat, 2 or more friends need to be invited to a chat box. To enable voice chat, dropdown menu and start voice chat. I search the Steam forums and this is possible for more than 2 to voice chat in the group message as long as they are all in the group chat.

We have not tried more than 2 ppl before, so if more than 2 join us, expect to experiment a bit to get everyone talking together. Cheers.

Oh and I created a LYN DayZ standalone group so people can join and enter a common chat room. From there should be more convenient to voice chat together.

Will send out invites to those in my friend list who are playing as well.

Feel free to invite others you know to join in.

It's good if you know what you are in for. It's still buggy, lack of a lot of features and really in terms of things to do, lacking.

Currently, what you normally do is, find supplies, find weapons and then thats it. The tension comes from the danger of being killed by other players.

Since this game has no objectives, no progression beyond finding survival items and surviving. Playing with other people should be more fun though.

Price will definitely go up. If follow Arma 3 model, once Beta hits, prices will increase by another $10 and once release, full price is should be another $5-10.

Again this is Alpha. Considered you are now paying to be a tester, so if you can stand the frequent character wipes, buggy and limited content and think you'll play long, go for it.

You can search Youtube videos to see if this kind of games interest you.

I'm pretty sure once Beta is over and the final product is release. It's gonna be around $59.99.
That is the amount I see they are selling for contributor's version. Might be retail price once finish beta.

Yeah there are zombies but considerably less than the mod. But these zombies are persistent and buggy, walk thru fences and walls. Easy to kill with an axe.

I find the northern part of the map completely devoid of much zombies, southern part more.

Edit: Forgot to add the sometimes zombies get bugged out and are invisible. sweat.gif

It only happen to me once, when I ran thru a small town and zombies were chasing me.

I was already in the forest and checking my loot when suddenly I hear a zombie growl and got hit once, I quickly ran again and try to see where the fella was but nothing. Still can hear him growling though, so I just ran and ran and ran to the next town. sweat.gif Dunno, maybe haunted.

Alright, once you get it, just add me in steam.

Wah you hang out in NWAF? hehe me too scared to die there, so for me it's a in/out scenario as long as I find the stuff I need.

I seldom go into the hangars, just do a route from the water pump and to the north tent. Im scared to go out from the area laugh.gif . I am still searching for the magpul m4 buttstock and those dual 30 rds magazines. The longer i survive, the more paranoid i get. sweat.gif

LOL same man. The more loot I get the more paranoid I get as well.

Found my 60 round magazines in the buildings in the airfield. Mostly on beds. Never find anything \special in the hangar where I can find somewhere else.
