I have a good idea....why not we try unite and screw the SC together...my proposal...anybody who stay in JB and have fault with their 408T/N.A can join me to ambush the S.C and make complaint together..let them scared and take serious action on our complaint..i dont mind to call somebody from Newpaper, blogger or etc to spread the news during that day...i think this way much be better seem like they bully the owner that actually its normal and start to *(&*)^&(%^%$%^$& during complaint to them.. mad.gif  mad.gif  mad.gif
*
you can do that but it will not help. it would actually do more harm than good. just look at what happened to the 308 and their owners and how hard it is for them to sell off their cars today. i recommend you go for a meeting with the service head and request for the presence from someone senior from hq to sit in to relay the matter to hq (if you are in jb). then write down what transpired at the meeting and follow up with the rep till it is resolved.

it is just my 2 cents worth but i think we need to think a little further as any action can have very far reaching consequences for both the owner and the service provider. it is worse for the owner as the service provider can always switch to selling another brand as the infrastructure is already in place.

The 408 is more than capable to keep in the lane at high speed corners, no need for racing lines thumbup.gif

Experienced this few months ago at karak highway, a car was changing lanes bersepah2 to use the so called racing line, but he still cant keep up with me eventhough i just kept to my lane

Is the 'introduce a new Peugeot owner and a token of appreciation of RM 1000 for the current owner' still valid? I bought a 408 and my wife just booked a 207. My SA did not mention anything regarding this and I found the official letter in the http://www.peugeotclubmalaysia.com/forum/v...php?f=65&t=1286 forum. I just got my car last week, and my wife already booked another car, about to deliver soon. Please share. Thank you.

not valid already.

Hi Skyblu3~ Yeah, yesterday my hubby and I went to have Korean food there and straight to Speed City to see ppl drift + burning their money on the track. Sorry for that. Next time horn twice for more attention coz its common if you horn once and we thought we are blocking somebody else.  biggrin.gif
*
wow, speed city is so near my place and yet i never knew it existed till i googled the location! do they have a mini race track there? can't find a track layout in their website.

yeah. RM 6 per person to see the drift and RM 5 per car for parking. Quite exciting seeing them to drive in high speed. Just dislike the tyre smells. You should call
Kah Loon Wong and Andrew to drop by if got free time every Saturday night.
*
hmmm, andrew as in the andrew from peugeot club?

Hi fellow Pug 408 owners, beside the national made, the market have the Japanese brands, Korean, German, French, American. Are you ready for Brits brand MG coming to Malaysia especailly the same C segment model MG6.

I know it is off topic so forgive me if it intrudes. then we can talk it over at the dedicated thread for that

http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2771970

Sorry again if it intrudes notworthy.gif
*
i know a friend who wanted to handle the brand but unfortunately, federal auto beat him to it! seems like the big dealers these days are looking to become franchise holders already. the reviews have not been glowing for the models they retail but they're not bad either. just around middle of the road but handling is one of their strongest traits as per the reviews done by uk reviewers. if they do come, it would be wise for them to be priced a little lower than peugeot because they really need a bit more time and expertise to match peugeot's build quality or even the service network.

apologies for adding on to this.

by the way, did anyone manage to test drive the 208 over the weekend?

Just to ask, is the 208 official launched? Show car and test drive unit available in show room? Really wanna molest this beauty.
*
belum official launch... a few days more for that. they just release it for test drive and sale. price also out already these days, the official launch is just a formality for media. previously, the prices were only announced during the launch but i think they're starting to do things differently already.

I was walking inside a shopping mall's car park last night and a white 408T drove past me at low speed. Is this car's engine supposed to be that noisy? If I didn't look at it I'd have thought it was an old Proton Saga or something. Or maybe that particular car has some faults.
*
peugeot engines have been loud all this while. as far as i can remember from the 405 and 306 till today's models. the fan is particularly loud.

It's the air con fan, not the engine sound. Well, it's loud, but hardly hear inside.
*
yup. agreed. best is, you can hardly hear it from inside. and that is what counts for more right?

Correct, it is all about the after sales service, I also do have friends which owned a tyre shop but again I think I had a very high expectation towards Peugeot and that is the reason why I expect blue box to have everything in place especially their 4S blue box serrvice centre.
*
perhaps may i suggest it would be best if you considered another brand that can fulfil your needs in aftersales. if even before purchase you're already dissatisfied, you will not enjoy the product at all with that thinking at the back of your mind.

The gear oil is too expensive for the 6 speeder gear box, I have check with a workshop which is selling the gear oil with the brand Voltztronic ( not sure the spelling ) this companny is OEM for BMW and Merc in Europe, it is suitable or Peogeot 6 speed gear box also, guess what , it is only about RM 60  / Liter, why Peugeot charge up to almost 2 K, what justify this ????
*
it is made by the japanese (oil for 6-speed), sent to france, repacked then sold to malaysia. the distance itself bumps up the price ridiculously high. hope it helps.

Well I think you might had misunderstand my definition. I am not voicing out my dissatisfaction in this thread or neither spreading out the negativity as well. In fact I will be making my booking tomorrow, sorry if I had offended you but I had the same thoughts as roadrunnerPenang whereby we as consumers will have higher expectation towards the product that we bought and also service that we paid and thats normal. In fact myself are working in the customer service line so constant feedback is a very useful tools for future improvement. *peace* =)
*
yup, positive and constructive feedback is always good but your earlier statement was pretty scary too.
