With the voucher, I think we can conclude the 1st 10k is RM180 for Civic. But it will go up for later service. Speaking of voucher. Need to check with my pug bro. I come across some other model owners using a voucher booklet at the Pug service centre. Anyone any idea how those things come from and how they work?
*
those vouchers are most probably lion save vouchers. lion save is nasim's commercial name for a free service programme. if you bought your car with a free service programme, you would probably have the booklet. some 407 had partial discounting (lion save 70 i think), early 308 had it and the 207 early batch had 3 year free service and the final batches all came with 5 year free service. they all use the lion save booklet and vouchers are peeled off to redeem their free service.

You can always count on lowpro on this sort of thing. Great stuff , just one more question, how to get one?
*
if you bought your car with a free servicing plan, the book should be given to you within a week of you getting your car (i'm not 100% sure here though). but, you can only get it if your car was sold together with the free service package. e.g. all 207 sold got 5-years free servicing.

not sure if they will sell the newer versions with ep6cdtm engine or the old ep6cdt engine?
*
from the paul tan article:

"The DS5 variant arriving here will be a THP 156 version, the Prince 1.6 litre twin-scroll turbo mill offering the by-now familiar 156 hp and 240 Nm of torque, paired to a six-speed automatic transmission.

Meanwhile, the DS4 will also be a 1.6 litre job, with 163 hp and 240 Nm for output numbers, again with a six-speeder auto gearbox. As in the case of the 408 Turbo, the increased output is likely the result of a revised turbo, changes to the ECU mapping and reworked pistons in the EP6CDTM."

WoW...24 hours of silence in this sub-forum. Wazzzuppp guys and gal!
Anyone found out.

1) Can the 'Melbourne' rims support 235mm tyres instead of 225?
2) Is the ECU for PUG408T in Bahasa Cina?
*
probably quiet because not many know the thread has moved to the car clubs section.

If those prices from jacksonkua is correct, then they are after a niche type of buyer.
*
not sure about the prices but you are right. they do not intend to sell many like peugeot. that's why only the ds range will be sold. nonetheless, they will still do better sales wise than the former franchise holder.

*
actually, to be realistic, you can't expect hybrid or kancil sorts of economy. even what is posted in brochures MUST be taken with a pinch of salt simply because those tests are done in controlled conditions. like what Skyjack and EP6CDTM said, just enjoy the car and don't think too much. otherwise, you'd be fretting all the small things.

don't panic. for 207, fuel consumption WILL be high for at least 1 year or 20,000km. After that, it will slowly improve. just keep driving the car long distance and if can, drive it hard once in a while to run in the engine.

Today I sent my 408 2.0 NA for the first 10k (mileage : 9,303) service at Puchong SC. I reached at 8.30am and I am the second customer on the list (Total 13 customers for today). They sent me to IOI Mall to lepak there. They completed the job at 1.30pm. I am not sure whether the other service centers also take that long hours to service a car.

Anyway, total cost was RM340.30 and here are the breakdown:-

1)Service consumable - RM10.00
2) Syntium 3000 5W/30 4 litres - RM221.00
3) Syntium 3000 5W/30 1 litre - RM59.50
4) Oil filter - RM43.90
5) Seal - RM5.90

Free labour for 10K - RM90.00

The service consumable was for battery water top-up.... and car wash kot.

I complained to the staff that there is a loose part, suspected a nut, inside the left front door. There is something rolling when goes uphill or downhill. I have forgotten to ask them just now... Haha... But it seems the problem is solved.
*
eh? i thought the batteries are maintenance free type?

Talking about FC, THIS will be the fuel saver......

http://www.paultan.org/2013/02/19/peugeot-...ry-and-details/

And it is going to be a global car according to the report....so it will come to Msia???
*
It is 'probably' under consideration but 'may' be higher that what most would consider paying for... so, tough call on it.

If you are concerned about FC than get the NA. With careful driving I'm sure you'll get very good FC. With the turbo, although on paper it returns better FC than NA,it reality it is very difficult. I know some have achieved it. But for me and bro jfcheong, have to go for light foot surgery la, damn turbo is so addictive! biggrin.gif

Wow u talk like politician

http://www.paultan.org/2013/02/14/reports-...-upscale-brand/

Peugeot while waiting for 2016 (with the alliance with GM) to produce and launch replacement for 3008, plus a smaller version of 3008, 208, 2008 and c segments. Owing to the pressure of making more sales, more profit, from now till 2016, there is every reason for them to push out existing saleable and proven models 208 and soon to be launch 2013 models including 2008 albeit now may be up-scaled as 'premium than before' brand as reported above.

So expect more gun blazing year for peugeot for 2013, the report say 17 vehicles launches in 2013. 17 !!! Surely 208 and 2008 can find its place here in Msia.

I see the peugeot brand up scaling can translate into higher 2nd hand value for our 408s.
*
hope it comes in too as it looks pretty good. but that's just what a 'little bird' whispered to me about on the cost.

Already discussed this awhile back in the Citroen chit chat corner before you posted that. You can read that thread for more info if you want. There are some good points made there.

The most interesting thing is what do they mean by upscaling the Peugeot brand?

1. Do they intend to create an entirely new brand entity to cater to the lower income groups? Thus positioning Peugeot into the middle segment and Citroen into the high line or...
2. Do they intend to position Citroen in the middle segment and move Peugeot into the high line
3. Increase the price of Peugeot cars?
etc. etc.

Too many different possibilities but we can only speculate on their current intentions for now on how they intend to go about doing that.
*
upscaling peugeot? i think they are more confused than they were before. maybe too much wine and croissants! yes, it may look a bit more premium over here in malaysia but the name itself does not seem to be able to carry more than the weight on itself now. i was in a blur when i read that story.

for premium, PSA needs to use the DS range from citroen as the C range is perhaps half a notch up over peugeot? this could perhaps be the reason why the DS range will spearhead citroen's renewed charge in this market.

By the way, one of my friend told me that the prince engine is a big no no. I also understand that 408 engine is an upgraded prince engine. So far so good?
*
upgraded yes. also been discussed in this thread before. it is much more 'princely' than the earlier versions now. more befitting of a prince now biggrin.gif
