Quite surprised to find Pug more reliable than BMW,Volov and VW according to the list posted by EnergyAnalyst. Had a BMW E39 before this pug, not so high electronics, found it reliable but high maintenance!

QUOTE(EnergyAnalyst @ Mar 4 2013, 12:06 PM) (pssst pssst, luckily u did not buy 407 bro, see how poor it has ranked... http://www.reliabilityindex.com/reliability/search/234 This is a real shocker for me. Still can't believe my eyes. Had the 408t delayed by a month, 407 will be parked in my garage. Was negotiating for one, and a year or two later would have gone for the 508 GT. Love the turbo diesel la! Would have missed all you guys......hehehe!The index scored is a poor 147 bro |

QUOTE(zweimmk @ Mar 4 2013, 08:49 PM) By that time there would be much better cars la bro. As it is, the hybrid A6 is already looking highly desirable and at a price that you wouldn't need to sell a kidney just to buy. Just imagine the kind of cars we will get in 3 to 4 years time True,true.....but I don't have deep pockets. So price is going to a big factor in the decision. |

QUOTE(CoffeeDude @ Mar 4 2013, 10:00 PM) Question for those of you on 6 speed auto with 1.6L THP engine I am very pleased with this Aisin 6spd gb. Upshifts and downshifts have been quite smooth. I usually lift my foot off the pedal and gentle brake application. I've not experienced the galloping horse, did notice a slight jerk, but only very few times. If it's harsh as a galloping horse, then you should check it out with SC.If you slow down to a stop by lifting your foot off the pedal, does the car jerk like a galloping horse at around 40-30 kph? Assuming you don't step on the brakes. This post has been edited by SKYjack: Mar 5 2013, 12:00 AM |

QUOTE(Pugbunny @ Mar 5 2013, 04:15 PM) Dont bother to install pedal lock. If someone want your pug, they will rob you or hijack your pug at knife or gun point.. hahaha The good thing about Pug,no one wants to steel it. With almost 10k discount also hard to sell, steel for what? Probably get caught cos can't get rid of it fast! |

QUOTE(eusened @ Mar 6 2013, 10:51 AM) By the way, my old car loan is not settled and the used car fella want to take my car grant. Given instruction to the bank, only release the grant after settlement of the loan is paid. Now i am also on a hot plate. What if the fella steal my old car and i still need to pay bank. Cant afford to pay both car every month. An unscrupulous second hand dealer has plenty of tricks up his sleeves. I'm not saying this is the best way,but that's just me! QUOTE(eusened @ Mar 6 2013, 02:24 PM) I have signed on the new bank loan. Remember I told you I don't trust used car dealers. Here is his game plan. He is trying to make a buck without putting out any. He's trying to get a buyer who will come up with money, with which he will settle your loan. So he make a profit without spending anything. The problem is, if the sale of your car is not quick enough, then you have to service the loan on that car too. I didnt pay any booking fees. He pay on behalf on me and minus it off from my NCD. Go and see the used car dealer and demand for the settlement right away! |

QUOTE(zweimmk @ Mar 7 2013, 07:46 AM) Skyjack is right. Worse still if he delays on purpose because you would have had to pay a couple more installments and that means having to pay less to settle the car and profiting from the balance. I do sincerely hope we both are wrong and it's only an administrative delay!Hopefully, we are wrong about your dealer. Good luck today. |

QUOTE(prody @ Mar 7 2013, 10:18 AM) The other day my car couldn't start. How old is your car? Are you a city driver mainly and seldom do long runs?Greatest battery drainage is during start ups. Wondering if daily multiple start ups coupled with insufficient charge periods due to mainly city drives is the cause of short battery life. Immediately suspected battery, there was not even enough power left to lock the car. At some point I did manage to unlock the booth. Lucky it happened at home. Anyway, car got towed to nearest service centre, battery was replaced within a day. IMO,to keep our Lion healthy, good to unleash her once a week at least for an hour. Good for the engine, good for the battery! Just my 2cents worth. This post has been edited by SKYjack: Mar 7 2013, 11:22 AM |

QUOTE(OrangBiasa @ Mar 7 2013, 09:30 PM) After I read your post, I check my USB drive when reach home this evening. I switched off the engine and open the centre console to check my USB. I observed from outside and my USB drive still lighted. So I took it off. wow once a month outstation driver also kena this battery problem. I've never used my USB. I'm 60% outstation driver, was thinking of loading my pen drive with music to play it in the car. Now scared already, although my battery seems good. 2 hours later when I try to start the engine, it won't start. Wipers move half way n all light indicators went off. So, sudah kena lah.. Called toll free number and the guy told me that the battery in Cheras area is out of stock. So I have to wait until tomorrow morning for the battery to be replaced. They will send from Balakong SC. Luckily it happened at my house. I bought mine in June 2012 and my mileage is 17K. Long distance travel once a month to my hometown in Labis. The rest, city driving. Now I regret taken out my USB drive. Should leave it there. So, early owners, brace yourself.. |
