Yeah..feel the power is there and what surprises me is the handling. The cabin is spacious and quite quiet and comfy.
The Nasim GPS will cost about RM4.8k if i am not mistaken and I think its a bit pricey. But I like for the fact that they are offering 5 years free service. For that I believe its the selling point for me and the price of the car.

Sadly I drive a 2005 Satria SE. Dunno how much will it fetch in the market if i want to trade in.

hang on. the price quoted for the gps is not official/accurate and nasim is still working on the pricing. it is not even offered for sale officially yet. so, wait a while more. should be announced soon.

Went to Genting last weekend... Second day of lion ownership to be precise... The car was fully loaded with my family... 3 adults, 3 kids and 1 infant...

And I'm smiling along the way up and down.. 

Nah..I told the SA that I need some time to think over. Need to get rid of my Satria first before I can think of buying a new car. But overall I like the car. Better than Lancer that I drove a couple of years before.

I saw someone shared this post in FB. The useful life for timing chain is how long esp for 408? At which km we need to check eg every 60k, 80k or 100k?

I hope that this case is an isolated one.

The problem lies with the carbon built-up, not with the timing chain. The carbon built-up on the intake valves stresses the timing chain and causes it to snap.

Seriously,  how long can a timing b
chzinwithheld before snapped in our 408t?  Already 1year and I m experiencing so many problems, 20k to repair is a lot.

Forgive me if I am wrong but 408T and 508 shares the same 1.6T engine yes? Naturally it will feel less powerful, I went for a test drive on 408T and I like it very much but I prefer the 508 looks more. and it comes with more gadget. I can go for 408 no problem but need to save more DP for 508 hehe,

Personally I think the Citroen C5 has similar designs to a 407.

Both cars have long bonnet and short boot.

Apparently,  I m not the first to get my turbo kit replaced.  Owner number 8408 silver had his car parked inside the workshop for turbo replacement too.

Hopefully to collect my car tomorrow evening.

* some correction here,  my car so have the turbo but the compression is lesser than it supposed to have.  I got to know if is about 0.9bar. I m not sure, maybe someone can give a link to the exact compression.

Some Q wanna ask... our 408 batt is covered by the plastic cover, one of the outlet is hidden. So if wanna jump start the car, needa remove the plastic cover? Difficult to remove?

I was told it cost rm14000 for the replacment of turbo. Of cos its foc for me but I have yet to collect my car.so, stay tuned for updates.

skyjack, I guess bynlw we have to accept the turbo kits and peugeot cars have too many defects namely loss of turbo, loosen screws(screw went missing at the front passenger door), additiomal screws in the boot lid (happened to me), rattling sound, rear brake disc (scratch line), battery (replaced a new one at 10.5 month of ownership), etc.

of cos, the same things/issues also happened on other car makers. I dont have the stastics to provewhich car makers having the most defective parts or problem and vice versa. Nonetheless, peugeot cars are not really in good quality givrm the high priceof the cars offered here in malaysia.

still, I m satisfied with the performance of this engine and the good handling of 408t.
lastly, its the warranty, to comfort myself futher, at least peugeot has changed a battery worth rm550, and a set of rear disc worth (rm500 maybe), and gonna change tubo worth rm14000. My car is worth more than it is priced initially, hahahha. A very lame joke. But it does make me feel better.

cant wait to collect my car tomorrow. Hopefully the technician does not disappoint me.or else, m gonna wait until thursday or friday only can collect my car.

anyway, i've also heard actual stories about how the world no 1 car manufacturer denying their owners from claiming warranty.

if I renew it myself at kurnia or etiqa online, do I need to bring the cover note to maybank (my loan is from maybank) to retrieve car registration card in order to renew road tax? I remember I read from somewhere that we do not to do that now. Just bring cover note to pos office and can renew road tax already. Anybody know about this?

looks like both dongfeng and gm seem to be holding back. perhaps to drive share prices lower first before making the offer.
