QUOTE(antt00 @ Jan 29 2013, 11:15 AM) If you are no longer on contract with them, that means your payment is only on monthly basis. So technically every month is like a new contract. This gives maxis the right to change the terms. But it also give the user the right to terminate and use other providers. Well my opinion anyway. Understood. I also don't wish to make a lot of fuss but it is really unfair because we are penalized. This issue happened most probably due to a lot of sellers selling unlimited biz plan which they should have not. Again, why Maxis allowed in the first place?

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jan 29 2013, 11:12 AM) I'm not sure but mine was registered way long time ago, in 2009. Someone in Maxis thread is doing this and preparing a lawsuit against Maxis, we do however have evidence that no quota should be implemented to our plan. You guys may have a case. On legality, it all boils down to the fine prints of whatever documents that were executed when you signed up for the plan in question. From the limited knowledge that I possess, on the principle of commercial practice, it cannot be done especially when you have had the 'benefits' for a long period of time. But then again, I could be mistaken.

QUOTE(joytest @ Jan 29 2013, 11:16 AM) Well it depends on the escape clauses Maxis put in the contract. It is still the consumer's right to make an SKMM/MCMC complaint to resolve disputes for stuff like this. Yes, what we are not happy is they didn't preempt the users and just did whatever they like backend. QUOTE(yweising @ Jan 29 2013, 11:17 AM) u mean streaming 24/7 from ur note 2? hows the battery life now? No la, crazy meh 24/7. I seldom stream. My battery life lasts 1 day or slightly more. QUOTE(toottut89 @ Jan 29 2013, 11:18 AM) weird, you have 30gb and i have 5gb. i wonder what's going on here, when i check through *136*9# to check it says unlimited. Mine is legacy plan that already discontinued in Nov 2009.

From the limited knowledge that I possess, on the principle of commercial practice, it cannot be done especially when you have had the 'benefits' for a long period of time. But then again, I could be mistaken. even if you sign contract, usually there is also T&C which would state they can change terms & conditions anytime (possible with some notice period). usually there is also a fair usage clause. these two is enuff to allow most telco to change and impose quota. unifi first had quota. after kena complaint, quota was temporarily removed. if i'm not mistaken, TM have put in T&C that will allow them to impose quota at any time. but for now, i guess they will not impose any.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jan 29 2013, 11:11 AM) You bought a LTE model without knowing LTE information in Malaysia? Luckily you bought Note II and not iPhone 5, else you can't use it yet in Malaysia. Anyway, only Maxis has LTE now and only selected areas are covered. At this moment, only can register LTE with wireless broadband plans which you can do it in TTDI and KLCC outlet. TQ for the info... ya 4G not makan my batery huhuhu

That is what I meant by fine prints. In the early years, I believe there are no qualifications or escape clause which is why I mentioned what I stated. Again, a caveat...I could be wrong.

You are correct in doing that but I would not take it lying down, if it were me. Good luck if you are pursuing the matter.
