QUOTE(sacremento @ Jan 30 2013, 01:14 PM) really?? im starting to think it is not the sdcard problem. Sandisk has advertised their card as compatible with Android phones with a large Android on the packaging.because most problems comes from s3 and note2 users. could it be the phone? i mean sandisk might not be compatible for s3 and note2. |

I am using a 16GB Sandisk class 10 and so far no issues yet. From what I could gather in xda forum is most Sandisk class 10 32GB and 64GB microsd cards are having problems.

Hoping that it remains ok for me.. symptoms/notifications(frequently happen) of a dying sandisk class 10 memcard -'sd card removed unexpectedly' followed up by 'preparing sd card' but unreadable. -removed sd card -blank sd card(sd card is blank or has unsupported file system). Formatting would be effortless. well sometimes the sdcard just come back will all the files u have before even after u tried formatting it. take this chance to do all the backups needed just in case the card goes crazy again. i do have a way to cheat this problem. sometimes it work sometimes it doesnt and i have to be quick enough. most of the time it works for me though but not sure bout others. -lock the phone in sleep mode(power button) -wake it(power button) -after it wakes quickly unlock the lockscreen and pull down the notification bar while it is stating 'preparing sd card' -if it shows 'blank sd card' means u failed. otherwise, check and see if the extcard is readable or not. hope this helps those facing symptoms above. |

QUOTE(codenamew @ Jan 30 2013, 02:57 PM) have tried that too.but still hang.this is the 2nd time i tried it.hmm by the way,any custom rom which still preserve those s-pen features and samsung camera that you all can recommend? I think most of the custom ROMs still preserve. You could try monxDIFIED, Romow, Wanamlite, ARHD and a lot more. I have tried the first four ROMs. |

32gb Sandisk should have less problem since it is default in FAT32. Only the 64GB default in exFAT may face more prone to card corruption when transferring large amount of data in 1 go (>5gb). As advised by Uncle Benny who himself has also RMA his Sandisk 64GB cards at least once - it is best to transfer less than 5gb data each time.
On the other hand, to prevent card corruption, make sure you are using a micro-SDXC compatible card reader if you take out the card from the phone and plug it in the computer via a card reader. Those old microSD card reader which only support micro-SDHC cannot support the exFAT format and will corrupt the card. |
