so if my current 4mbps , line attenuation high around 40-50

and snr is low at 13-22

then my line will not support for 8mbps and also will not support in future, unless I move house?

Is your location covered under 8Mbit now? If not then good luck biggrin.gif

SNR can be fixed, check your copper connection

currently not yet, some area near my place just have 8mbps recently, im afraid even if someday available in my place , do u think i can go 8mbps with my line current status? snr is low

i have down 22 up 24 since upgraded to 4mbps

but last week noticed my snr down dropped from 22 to 12.9, snr up still remain 24, even tried direct connection still the same

luckily line still stable without any crc error, so scare it's getting worse someday then i cant even use 4mbps sweat.gif

is it possible when 8mbps available for my area, I can get better stronger snr and low attenuation line?

i have no idea how those things work, where the DSLAM is, hopefully any TM insider can tell here rolleyes.gif

Just received a promo call from TM offering me to upgrade my 4Mb line to 8Mb, fee is RM160 and free one HyppTV package worth RM30.00. Not going to use the latter though.

I accepted it, now waiting to see if my line really can support it or not.

Hi, i just subscribed streamyx 8mb. From the paper they gave, it stated DS 8196 US 512, but when i request him to add to 10xxx, he told me he cant do anything as it all set already. When i checked speedtest, sometimes 7.95 to 8.46. But today noon i checked was around 6mb + only, is it our cable issues? Ping can go up to 1xx.

No. Didnt on. I can go up to 8mb for like 30 minutes. Then it drop to 6mb with the ping around 100/50/70 like that. Do you have this problem today? Im just wondering cable problem or? I cant test now as im outside already. Have to wait tonight or tomorrow to test again.

Why don't want to include? It's free and you get a free package for 24 months.

It is included in the package

1 year ago, it is RM160 just for 8Mbit.

TM now include HyppTV without additional fee, you can just keep the HyppTV or use it to watch USB movie.

I just upgraded to 8mbps today. But the SNR drop to 6.3. I face disconnection twice today. Do you think i should report to them to fix the SNR problem ?
