you guys still can get leopold via me. just that i don't do mass import anymore due to competitor. think of it as getting it as hobby.

well.. i do have to agree with some user over here. the spacebar is indeed quite annoying because personally myself, i collected quite a number of keycaps sets. but unable to use the spacebar is kinda a "pain in the ass" to me.

hope the FC660M to be programmable so i can change the "Insert" key to something useful. But not planning to get that. =/

Y u no say early? LOL
FC700R can?? tongue.gif

Gonna be a bit of a hassle with the FC600. Desoldering needed to do the stabilizer mod.
At that point, might as well lube it since they are all desoldered.

That keyboard with a programmable 2 keys on the top right might be perfect, but it looks like they didn't leave a lot of space underneath the PCB for modding.

Oh well, you always have KeyTweak software.

1) Thumb keys layout is exactly the same.
2) The overall main key lay out is the same included the modifier.
3) Ergodox dont have dedicated F1 to F12. Kinesis use rubber key for F1 to F12. A lot of user hate that included me.
4) Ergodox had extra 6 keys at the center.
5) Ergodox is Flat. Kineisis is Concave key well
6) The 2 side modifier for Ergodox is 1.5X. Kinesis is 1.25X
7) Ergodox can split apart and Portable. Kinesis is not portable at all. Other will think I am mad bring out Kinesis to type on Public place. biggrin.gif (Maybe Ergodox too...haha)
8) Kinesis only came with MX Brown and MX Red (More expensive). Ergodox can have any switch you want.

Ergodox layout. Can be Customize

Kinesis Layout: You can remap any keys on the keyboard itself. No extra software needed.

weird right shift, and spacebar size? sad.gif
*
Nope.

I really being impressed by their genius design this time. Manage to keep the size of the keys you mentioned standard (6.25x for spacebar, but it probably following leopold spacing standard... rolleyes.gif and the right shift following left shift size, 2.25x).

As kai suggested, blank key will still be easy and perfect choice for it (provided you can find the spacebar (keycool probably the only source) of desired color at the 1st place)

I touched them at LYP b4.

As you stated, one is using the fake clone switch. If I need one, I would already ordered Rapoo V7 (the ancestor/1st among fake switch mech kb, which probably less than RM130 shipped).

Hornet is using genuine cherry mx and really solid (IINM, either one of the top or base case are metal, not too sure bout it), but at the price tag of RM450, overbranding level >90000, unknown OEM (but it is using square shaped LED, so potentially to be related to Keycool or the new gaming brand called what "凌豹终结者" something), edgy/sharp case random coating and many more uncertainties, how about no? whistling.gif

BTW, LYN loss the auto post combining ability? hmm.gif

If you want firm stable feeling when typing, I will say 87. Most 84 board is less solidly build compared to 87.
