Well Said...  thumbup.gif
A lot of people always there to look for bargain.. n they easily become the prey of the ever hungry predator... n when things happen, they blamed seller instead of themselves...
let's face it.. as the Wise man always said .. Good thing no cheap, cheap thing no good..

if i spend 50K to do R&D and sell the item for 5? then how many i need to sell to earn back the $$ ? Might as well dont sell at all...

We look at a scenario.

This is an email we received from a manufacturer in China
So for a 8000mAh we can get at $6.90/pcs which is around RM23. Add in relevant charges such as postage and tax, maybe around RM30 if you choose the cheapest shipping options. We sell it to local distributor at RM35/pcs (earn RM5 per pc), then sell to reseller at RM40 (again, earn RM5 per pc). Do you think reseller will only earn RM5? Probably they sell around RM80 - RM100 depending on location.

Question 1: At a price of $6.90 (RM23), what type of quality do you expect?  If you are unlucky that it explode, you can't really blame anyone cos you choose to buy that

Question 2: Ok, you said you bought not at RM23 but at RM100, so u expect a better quality. Well, the fact is, the production price is still less than RM23 ($6.90), it doesnt matter u pay RM23 or RM100 or RM1000, the fact is, the cost of production never change.. it still the same.

Question 3 (Most common one) Branded one like Yoobao, Mipow, Anker, Energizer, Sanyo, Samsung, etc, the price can still be the same but they choose to mark up the selling price only. What makes we think the quality is better? Well, this is the most common question customer will ask us. And we always share with them, BMW, Porsche, Ferrari, Benz all are car makers, why are the price more expensive than a Proton Saga? Simple right? The fact is they invest in a lot of R&D to make the car safer and better and most important, quality is consistent. Same goes with power bank, some brands are spending money on R&D and they need to consider the cost of the R&D before they set the selling price of the final products. OEM only buy one unit, dissemble it, look at how it is made, and copy and paste.. quality wise... erm....  hmm.gif

Round up
There are few types of sellers in the market

1. Quality oriented - knowing the fact that an original item does not make as good % of margin compare to the OEM, FAKE, IMITATIONS, they still choose to sell ORI item cos all they want is a non compromised product in terms of safety and efficacy to their customers

2. profit Oriented - Always source for the cheapest available products and sell at mouth watering profit margin.

3. Opportunist - See other seller have good sale on the product, quickly go and sell too... (riding on other's success and efforts)

4. Heartless & Despicable - Selling OEM as Original item. Tell customers they get from overseas and selling cheaper than RSP as their cost is low.. Worse, these people sometimes go around tell ppl, "its not we are selling cheap, it's them who are selling expensive. They want to earn your hard earn money only"

Buying at RSP doesnt means your item is 100% authentic. ALWAYS Buy from Authorised Reseller. Thats your best bet.

Very good point... these are electronic items which could develop problems later on. Warranty and hassle free support is very important to me.

So if you order from overseas like taobao, sometimes in batches, it is better you know how to get support when your power bank got problems.

Bought my second Anker from iSmartpower ... Astro 3, 2nd generation, 12000 mAh.

A bigger one with more juice and with 3 ports... so far so good, charging times are fast ...

I have a lighter and smaller Astro 2 which can fit into a lady's handbag comfortably, so this Astro 3 is for me biggrin.gif

This means you can go out the whole day or two without needing a power outlet and you can surf, play games the whole day (if this is what you like to do!) What this means for me is that I can be on a long journey or go on holiday tours and still keep my phone charged up to enable me to take photos or videos without worrying about running down my phone battery.

To charge yoobao powerbank (and all other powerbanks) u need micro-USB head. Normally it is included together with the powerbank. U can use ur phone charger head to charge the powerbank or purchase and additinal 3 pin plug
