Root and run AdFree. There will some hosts that they do not know of (usually Chinese sites) so you will still get the ads from such sites, unless you manually edit your hosts file

Of course, you should also uninstall your *ahem* apps.

Anyway, the only thing I can think of is to get another Symbian, sync your PCSuite stuff to it, then make an NBU backup. Then I recall there was some program that converts your SMS to an xml file where you can import to Android. I did that more than a year ago so I can't remember clearly, but the import can be flaky. Mine was and only got about half my messages imported.

So I strongly suggest you make an NBU and keep the NBU explorer software handy for nostalgia. I don't think you'll want to look at your old SMS 3 months from now unless you have some real pressing reasons for it.

1. Restart and try.
2. Remove battery for 5 mins and retry
3. Factory reset and try.

If he/she refuses to do 3, tell him/her that SC will do the same thing anyway so JFDI. Of course, tell him/her to backup and remove all *ahem* material first.

Worst case is 2 weeks at SC I suppose.

Oh I forgot to add...we could deal with the snake after eliminating the conman and make snake soup or fried snake ribs. Yummy.

Could be a rom issue. You could lurk in the xda wanamlite forums and see what others report.

If the Note 8" can be, say, $300, this means either it's got no Radio or has some crap hardware, or we can expect Note3 to be a bit cheaper than what we paid for Note1 and Note2.

Uh, look at what Nexus 7 did to the pricing for the tablet market. It seems the Nexus pricing effect is in play here. And anyway, except maybe for the first test run, aren't almost all other batches made in China?

Haha. Samsung controls the entire manufacturing stack, from the display, cpu, RAM, everything. This means they actually have a very low cost, which they sell at a high price.

So it depends on how low they are willing to go on price, since at any rate the Note 8" is targeted against the ipad mini. Hope the pricing carries over to Note3
