to be honest i dun think there is a free gps app. It's either u buy an offline gps app or get a free gps app that runs on mobile data(u still pay for your data). choose which suit ur preferences.
*
Waze (FREE) is good enough for me usually. Some people have reported some inaccuracies but it's been great for me so far.

Actually, it helps to have viewed the map of the surrounding area of your destination and/or route. Waze does sometimes give some weird directions or strange turns within a route which can be completely ignored by simply driving straight on.

Having viewed the map first, you can get some bearings and at least detect when your GPS is trying to troll you tongue.gif

I would also suggest that we Malaysians should familiarise ourselves with the road and highway numbers. This is how people in the US and UK refer to their roads. We have this system but there is ABSOLUTELY ZERO education about this. I figured this out myself after a lot of travelling on our own trunk roads when I was younger.

Knowing how the roads interlink via the exit numbers and highway numbers will help you keep your bearings.

*
If he's a flashoholic (like Uncle Benny), by all means do so.

If he got the Note1 due to his eyesight, then you should ask what are his other use cases. If it warrants an upgrade, then go ahead. If he thinks Note2 can send his sms faster, umm......

I remember some radio station traffic announcer uses these road numbers, but only on those common ones like e1, e2, e11
*
Yes I know, but almost no one else refers to these highways by numbers. They usually call it the KESAS, ELITE whatever.

It's not just the highways themselves, the exit numbers are just as important as these interconnect to the roads you want to go on to your destination. Trunk roads have numbers too, with the state letter code as the prefix. Eg Selangor trunk roads begin with B (B11, B29, B15). Federally administered roads and highways have only a number. Eg Federal Highway is 2, East coast highway from Kuantan to KB is 3 etc.

Galaxy Note 8"

http://www.phonearena.com/news/Samsungs-J....for-MWC_id38947

Darn... but if it's coming out at this size, then the rumors of GN3 at 6.3" might just be true.

I don't see much of a point if you have a 6.3" device and then a 7" device. Time for us to buy pants with BIGGER pockets tongue.gif

For me it comes down to this: Apple has great design, but it restricts your choice in all kinds of ways. I have been seeing those restrictive bars more and more, despite all the beautiful flowers. Android offers a kind of “tyranny of choice.” But in the end, I think choice and openness are better, even if they seem less attractive at first glance. That’s why I’m thinking of making the switch permanent. Forgive me, Steve.

As I took a moment to edit my iPhone homescreen this weekend, I realized that I use very few of Apple’s iOS apps anymore.

There are several iOS apps I have barely ever opened — Stocks, Compass and the other random preloads. But for most of the most essential apps, one by one, I’ve found alternatives that I prefer to Apple’s defaults.

Agreed, although I hope functionality is not sacrificed for 2mm. And if you've all noticed, all large phones now look almost identical....large rectangular slabs with rounded corners. I don't mind this, I only hope nobody goes out and designs some bizarre shape just to be different.

You mean "can't get off" right?

Yes, the Note 2 can do all this which no isheep will ever even fantasise in their wildest dreams coz they have been bred to follow the sheepdog only.

if you do flashing, then this is a no issue.

but if like me... then just have to wait till the country where the AP set is from gets the update.

for me... i'm ok la... since many on 4.1.2 complain of 'battery drain'. hahaha...

only 5 mins job  sweat.gif

mydragoon yes listen to issac. 3 months ago he was also extremely hesitant about this whole flashing business. After you've read about how it works, it is only a 5min job. You're not even talking about rooting (a 2min job) hahahaha.

No flash counter changes or anything, and you get the latest firmware.

Potential whistling.gif innovation:

http://www.phonearena.com/news/This-is-wha...ok-like_id38996

We bet that once you read yesterday's speculation about an Apple iPhone with a 4.8 inch screen, you started daydreaming of what such a model would look like. You weren't the only one. Some, like Russian based Apple news site appledigger.ru, did more than just thought about it. The site actually produced a rendering of what a 4.8 inch Apple iPhone might look like.

The main change is a sixth row of apps
that is one more than the Apple iPhone 5 has...

See the great new magical potential from crapple?

I have no clue . Seems copyright it's not very effective there . They use the logo lookalike but inside u get all kinda china phones and tablets and whatever u can think of . Even mp3 players ipod lookalike .
Oh ya , they do sell original Apple products like iphones , ipad , ipod but do u dare to buy from there ? It's cheaper then the other shop also

Well the Chinese think that if you possess a drawing/plan/schematic, it is MEANINGLESS without the means to FABRICATE it.

So, since they have so much production capacity, taking a plan and fabricating it is just normal business. The question would be what standards are they fabricating it to?
