Must you purchase the phone in order to purchase the plan? If not why don't you guys just get the plan and just by the phone via Apple Store? It's a lot faster and hassle free (for those of you who haven't gotten their phone yet).

Need some advice here.. Ive been using digi68 (which is equivalent to digi78 now) for many years.. now im planning to sign up for new iphone with digi plan again..

Based on my monthly bill, ive been paying rm68 + calls, sms which is total up to RM 110-120 average monthly. So im wondering should I take the RM 108 plan now or stick back RM68/78?
Internet quota not a concern because Im using wifi at home most of the time. I only use data when browsing and whatsapp when away from home. As in calls n sms, of course I will use more than 100mins in a month.. So im figuring out which plan will be more worth n suits me..Thank you.

I'm currently using digi postpaid. It says that if you have been an exisiting postpaid user you dont have to pay the advance payment.

But how come when i wanna buy online the purchase price is inclusive of advance payment even after putting my current digi number?

They don't really give existing users much benefit. I tried calling them and they told me to pay the full amount anyway. That's why I decided to screw them and order from the Apple store.

Thanks for the reply man. I sent them an email asking about this and they said that the waived advance payment only applies if you take the 148 and 248 plan.

Yup. That's the standard treatment you get if you're not a high-paying customer. I remember 2 years ago when my dad wanted to activate roaming, they asked for a RM500 deposit. He raged because they refused to waive the deposit despite us being postpaid customers for years. After a lot of arguing, they finally agreed on RM200, which is just about what we're billed monthly. The only reason we've not jumped telcos is because DiGi's currently provides the best rates for our needs.

Is it? I got activated for free, no charges at all.
That was 5-6 years ago though. smile.gif
I'm not a high spender, less than 40 bucks per month, due to Ambassador plan user. Think again, probably because I'm using this plan, my roaming was activated for free. hmm.gif

I think they just stocked up.

Checked out the availability on the website and most stores seem to have restocked.
