guys is it possible to just set EDGE for my cellular setting? there's only 2 options; Cellular Data and Enable LTE. if i disable Cellular Data, it disable my mobile internet. if i enable Cellular Data, it will set to 3G. i don't need 3G as i only use Whatsapp outside and i want to reduce the battery consumption as much as i can

It's possible. But it must also be enabled by your carrier settings. So, it depends on your telco. I don't think any of our telcos have implemented this.

alright thanks for the info

Must you purchase the phone in order to purchase the plan? If not why don't you guys just get the plan and just by the phone via Apple Store? It's a lot faster and hassle free (for those of you who haven't gotten their phone yet).

Does anyone trying to MNP from Maxis to Digi?
Mine already been rejected for three times due to Maxis port out system failure sad.gif
My phone have been reserved for few days
Can't wait to have it............
Should I just change to new number? sad.gif

I thought you can just go to DiGi and say you want to port over to them with your current number? Just have to settle whatever payment that you have with them (if postpaid)

Sadly, nope. It's not that easy
Need to fill in a port out form at Digi and wait for any respond from Maxis
Either it's approved or rejected is depends on Maxis
Mine have been rejected 3 times although there's nothing wrong with my number

Well that's unfortunate. My family and i ported from Maxis to DiGi (though it was a really long time ago, and i did not handle it) due to Maxis' ridiculous charges; hidden charges lah, this and that.. To put into perspective, my usage of RM68 on DiGi is equivalent to RM156 on Maxis. Double the cost at the same usage. And i can't relate when people say that Maxis' coverage is better. Nowadays DiGi can get coverage (3G might i add) in most places. Maxis on the other hand has had several network hiccups a month back where i can't call my Maxis friends and they can't use their internet due to network issues. I've never faced such issue with DiGi.

As for you situation, i would still insist on keeping my number if i was in your shoes. You shouldn't pay the price of changing numbers just because they won't allow you to port. Take all the necessary actions and fight back. It's your right.

mine got LTE in most of the place that i go to (Subang and KL), but in office (Maharajalela) down to 3G. i'm still waiting for DiGi to offer 2G/EDGE signal. in dire need of it cause i only Whatsapp when i'm on my data and that would save my battery significantly..

im planning to sign new plan for iphone 6 but i'm under 2 years contract on current 5s.. still got under this year december..  i heard if terminate the contract penalty is rm500.. is it possible to get waiver from digi?
*
I thought can just carry forward and continue with extended period, added payment and new phone? If must terminate everytime want to change phone, they will lose customers man; only allowed to change phone every 24 months haha

cant carry forward.. have to wait contract finish only can start a new contract.. since they said they already subsidize the iphone 5s so have to wait contract finish.. even im using digi for 5 years already.. they will only waive me if i left 2 months contract.. btw subsidize also not much..  plus the phone bill  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  haiz.. blood sucking

Waliao i thought can just extend. That means can change every 24 (or 22) months only lah? All telcos also like that ah? I've never bought a phone on contract before, so i just assumed that they would allow you to extend the contract. I think compared to other telcos, DiGi still cheapest man. Maxis will confirm billshock you, my family kena before. Celcom i haven't tried yet but based on the plans i saw previously, like the same je..

anybody know does iphone 6 plus under Digi or Telco eligible to isight camera replacement?

According to their website, telcos are not part of the program so have to settle with Apple. Here in Malaysia i'm not sure how telcos deal with warranties; either we can settle on our own or still have to go through telco
