QUOTE(na21m @ Dec 30 2014, 03:42 PM) I'm currently using digi postpaid. It says that if you have been an exisiting postpaid user you dont have to pay the advance payment. But how come when i wanna buy online the purchase price is inclusive of advance payment even after putting my current digi number? They don't really give existing users much benefit. I tried calling them and they told me to pay the full amount anyway. That's why I decided to screw them and order from the Apple store.

QUOTE(na21m @ Jan 6 2015, 10:40 AM) Thanks for the reply man. I sent them an email asking about this and they said that the waived advance payment only applies if you take the 148 and 248 plan. Yup. That's the standard treatment you get if you're not a high-paying customer. I remember 2 years ago when my dad wanted to activate roaming, they asked for a RM500 deposit. He raged because they refused to waive the deposit despite us being postpaid customers for years. After a lot of arguing, they finally agreed on RM200, which is just about what we're billed monthly. The only reason we've not jumped telcos is because DiGi's currently provides the best rates for our needs.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jan 6 2015, 11:12 PM) Is it? I got activated for free, no charges at all. That was 5-6 years ago though. I'm not a high spender, less than 40 bucks per month, due to Ambassador plan user. Think again, probably because I'm using this plan, my roaming was activated for free. Ambassador plan = next level. We peasant level have to make do with shouting at DiGi CS.

fruitie I got my sim cards replaced yesterday, charges not waived. Have to say, I kinda saw this coming. With so many new customers joining on contract, there's really no need to take care of the existing userbase.
