ok i guess i can give some summary on Huawei Technologies as i'm working there as a technical trainer.. there are 3 regions basically u will be applying to if u r going to join huawei.. MRO ( malaysia region ), SP ( South Pacific ) and Global ( Worldwide )

in jobstreet, if u see any positions attached with above region.. then u will be working in those region.. MRO ( whole of malaysia ), SP ( indonesia, australia, bangladesh ), global ( everywhere else ). After those.. you have different productlines engineers.. each specialize in their own products.. the major productline are as follow:

1) Wireless ( the radio side of things, deploying 2G, 3G, 4G and future products )
2) Transmission ( Microwave transmission/ Optical transmission to link all the products together )
3) Core Network ( CS,PS,NGN,IMS which is the brain of the network.. the place where they able to route ur call to ur frens tongue.gif )
4) Access ( GPON ... for Unifi )
5) Datacomm ( all the IP related stuff, VLAN, MPLS, IP routing since from now onwards its mostly all IP network for telecomm equipments )

So to answer your question, Global Technical Service Engineer will be global .. expect heavy travel... like maybe 300/365 days overseas. Technical service engineer will be either 1 of the productline.. Huawei does provide some cash rewards for referring people to Huawei for successfull application, hence the email listed above by someone biggrin.gif

fun syiok a.. depends on individual.. some aiming for high allowance.. some aiming for free travel.. allowance for each country is highly different though.. generally if u want high allowance go for south pacific region.. if u want travel.. well.. go for global XD best of luck in ur job hunting!
