CDPR may always include a higher res texture pack on release day. I've checked the .ini settings and it is a very scalable game by nature. Not a difficult game to mod, which is a good thing. |

It's not how the rock and stones look like in the game, it's the whole tone of it. It's gone from something very gritty and realistic, but back to the saturation palette that was in Witcher 2. They've toned down the lighting significantly, a lot of the custom physics has been pared down, animations has been simplified, those sort of things. CDPR has even admitted to using a lesser version of Nvidia hairworks in the final release, which pretty much makes all the previous screenshots to be null. Look at the whole issue, not just rock and stones. Because if it's just textures, people could just re-do them. On the other hand though, fortunately Witcher 3 will have mod support. Skyrim looked like a complete turd when it released, but today with mods it is an exceptionally beautiful game. i play to the moon..old time graphic with fucking good storyline  |
