I didn't remember the studio hyping up their next-gen graphics, special water effect, dynamic weather or their enhanced RED engine.. something that will eat up your 4TB HDD.. no such things. Except maybe some promo shots by Nvidia.
What do I remember is they hyping up their open, lively and richer world with tons of quests and lengthy gameplay hour. Which really delivered this time based on all the positive reviews so far. People brought into this "pretty graphics" hype upon themselves.. then you got sites such as Reddit, Kotaku etc. forming a sweeping conclusion.. then people buying into it. QUOTE(-kytz- @ May 13 2015, 04:16 PM) 100% no flop like WD. if graphic been push back a bit, acceptable. but not up to WD level plz. but i think our concern now is mostly on the graphic as it seems most review the game is this is no UBI and this dev is better than most. |

QUOTE(Hezegroth @ May 13 2015, 03:25 PM) according to SSJBen, comparing to GTA V, the file size is small. since Witcher3 map is suppose to be bigger than GTA V and GTA V file size is around 60GB?QUOTE(Angel of Deth @ May 13 2015, 05:02 PM) I didn't remember the studio hyping up their next-gen graphics, special water effect, dynamic weather or their enhanced RED engine.. something that will eat up your 4TB HDD.. no such things. Except maybe some promo shots by Nvidia. the studio may not hype directly on the graphic department...but the screenshots, trailers, video review released out by them before this shown impressive graphic quality. thus, expectation is built from there...What do I remember is they hyping up their open, lively and richer world with tons of quests and lengthy gameplay hour. Which really delivered this time based on all the positive reviews so far. People brought into this "pretty graphics" hype upon themselves.. then you got sites such as Reddit, Kotaku etc. forming a sweeping conclusion.. then people buying into it. so when compare to the now release review version, a revealing gap is seen and ppl start questioning... but man - the system requirement they put is not i3...minimum i5...wif gpu 660 minimum. i am expecting something great here...i mean i even bought a whole new set of hardware for this game... What have we become. When a good game with great story isn't enough. People care too much about how the rock and stones in the game looks like. I can't help but laugh.
I've enjoyed the previous Witcher. And I bet I will again in this one. Take your time and enjoy the game! Can't wait for launch day. |

Beside that, the developer never hide anything about the graphic and always post the latest screenshot of the game before its release. I will only mad if I find out about the graphic downgrade after the game was released. |

I can't help but laugh. So do we continue to play in the 8-bit and 16-bit era then? Because sure, there was plenty of great games during those days, many of which are still better than today's offerings.I've enjoyed the previous Witcher. And I bet I will again in this one. Take your time and enjoy the game! Can't wait for launch day. Also you're missing the point. It's not how the rock and stones look like in the game, it's the whole tone of it. It's gone from something very gritty and realistic, but back to the saturation palette that was in Witcher 2. They've toned down the lighting significantly, a lot of the custom physics has been pared down, animations has been simplified, those sort of things. CDPR has even admitted to using a lesser version of Nvidia hairworks in the final release, which pretty much makes all the previous screenshots to be null. Look at the whole issue, not just rock and stones. Because if it's just textures, people could just re-do them. On the other hand though, fortunately Witcher 3 will have mod support. Skyrim looked like a complete turd when it released, but today with mods it is an exceptionally beautiful game. This post has been edited by SSJBen: May 14 2015, 06:43 PM |
