My titanium is 1 month old and just clock pass 1K. Went to Ipoh and back to KL last weekend. Once I'm back, suddenly my car start to jerk very badly. I have the normal off n on low speed jerk before this but nothing as bad as this. When I reverse into my house up a small hump, car jerk til its like engine going to mati. Also notice some sound from my left side after the trip, not sure what sound it is.

So sent to SC today. Foreman told me that all this problems are normal and he already got many complains from focus owners. He say that jerking is due to dual clutch and that transmission is actually only semi-auto coz its originally manual trans but modified to auto (Don't understand this coz I'm car dumb) He also say he test drive my car and reverse up a very steep slope. Full throttle but car moves very slow. He say its normal for focus.

Is the foreman correct? Coz a 100K plus car that can't reverse up a slope is damn embarassing. On top of all the jerking and sound..

Anyone booked Ford Focus Sport+ at SDAC PJ recently? I have booked mine on early of the month and SA just called to inform that the car just arrived today.

give more throttle....dual clutch trannies tend to jerk on low gears...your car only 1k....after the first service should be much smoother...i got a fiesta with powershift too...early into ownership not used to it....the jerking at first to second gear...after first service everything is smoother

I was told after 2 to 3k km, when the clutch bedded in, the sheddering and sounds will reduced significant ly. If not, you shud approach sc to update the software to the latest version which I believe was released this May. Yes. Its a dry clutch just like manual gear box but control by computer and I believe the Power Shift gear box software adaptive algorithm was not as perfect. Mine almost 2k plus km. Sheddering getting lesser. Hopefully it will go away just like everyone else says.

Peoploids,

Much-anticipated FoFo Titanium to touch down next week .... am seriously considering putting in DRLs...

Can anyone suggest a shop that sells/installs DRLs that are:

- reasonably priced
- good quality
- won't void our warranty when installed?

TIA!

Hello Guys,

I am new here. I am considering (tough to decide) whether to get ford focus or civic.
Any ford focus owner from melaka? is the after sales service ok for Melaka?
Mind give me recommendation or suggestion?

and my bro also considering second hand ford focus. He searches through Mudah and found that the 2nd hand value for Focus was horrible (don't mind about that). The big question , is Ford focus a reliable car? Can anyone help us with it?

Thanks

I think he is referring to features stated in the manual but not fitted to our car. Like adaptive cruise control
