Hey guys, was wondering how you ford focus users like the car? Was planning on buying the ford focus sport+ and would like to hear some of your reviews. And make it an honest review with it's ups and downs Hehe. The guy in the showroom that I went didn't really explain it well. He kept on telling that ford is better than any other cars and never kinda explained whats good about the ford focus :/

If I were you I'd cancel the booking and just get it from another dealership. Ford in Malaysia is just pathetic beyond belief. I'm already losing my patience with them.

The focus is a well equipped car. But its engine and gearbox cannot be compared to vw. Very big difference. Besides, yes i admit the dsg has its problems. They will replace the clutch pack for u . No problems after the repair.

Hi guys, been following this thread ever since reading the many raving reviews of the Focus

I'm currently tossed between deciding VW MK7 or the Focus Titanium Plus. But the recent recalls and testimony of my friends with Mk6 on the ever famous DSG problems has partially led me to side my decision on Focus. Would like your opinion on whether focus would have the same problem since its transmission its quite similar to the DSG as well, has any owners face the same issue?

Currently driving Audi B8 and sparingly use my Waja for sentimental reasons, which is a also workhorse that failed me only twice in 9 years.

I received my Candy Red Sport+ 2 days ago. Experiencing the low gear juddering like most explained here. One more thing is on hard acceleration, gear change from 3 -> 4 is pretty rough. Kinda kicks me forward during the gear change. 300 KM traveled so far.

All that aside, handling and cornering is great, NVH is surprisingly good, still trying to figure out all the buttons and I'm still deciding on which tinting to use.

On daily driving, I realised that there are not enough 'open' compartments to store things like phone and wallet. What I mean by 'open' is, compartments where you can place your stuff, and not forget to take when you leave your car.

Hi all ford focus owner

Do you have any problem with the gearbox, yesterday when i start my car, it RPM stuck at 2.X and it won't change gear. Until i park my car at roadside then restart it ,then everything back to normal.

Checked the trip computer and all the system are normal, no idea what causes the problem.

Beside the rattling issue from 0-40KM/H, i also feel that im having problem maintaining speed going uphill.

Guys, my car already clocked 6k++, im planning to polish my car...stumble upon promotion in groupon, the package is quite interesting...rm 50 for 3 steps....how reliable it is the package? Anybody from here purchased the package from groupon before?

I havent try any sedan at the moment...i own the hb and for me i still can tolerate with the suspension plus the handling is superb IMO.

My titanium is 1 month old and just clock pass 1K. Went to Ipoh and back to KL last weekend. Once I'm back, suddenly my car start to jerk very badly. I have the normal off n on low speed jerk before this but nothing as bad as this. When I reverse into my house up a small hump, car jerk til its like engine going to mati. Also notice some sound from my left side after the trip, not sure what sound it is.

So sent to SC today. Foreman told me that all this problems are normal and he already got many complains from focus owners. He say that jerking is due to dual clutch and that transmission is actually only semi-auto coz its originally manual trans but modified to auto (Don't understand this coz I'm car dumb) He also say he test drive my car and reverse up a very steep slope. Full throttle but car moves very slow. He say its normal for focus.

Is the foreman correct? Coz a 100K plus car that can't reverse up a slope is damn embarassing. On top of all the jerking and sound..

well...all cars have problems and it really depends on your luck to get a problem free car. also, only people who have problems are complaining while the buyers who got the reliable cars would most likely not comment anywhere on the page. so in turn, it appears to the public that the ford focus is a problematic car. hope i explained well enough.
