Hi guys, been following this thread ever since reading the many raving reviews of the Focus
I'm currently tossed between deciding VW MK7 or the Focus Titanium Plus. But the recent recalls and testimony of my friends with Mk6 on the ever famous DSG problems has partially led me to side my decision on Focus. Would like your opinion on whether focus would have the same problem since its transmission its quite similar to the DSG as well, has any owners face the same issue?
Currently driving Audi B8 and sparingly use my Waja for sentimental reasons, which is a also workhorse that failed me only twice in 9 years.

Currently driving Audi B8 and sparingly use my Waja for sentimental reasons, which is a also workhorse that failed me only twice in 9 years. Both Vw Golf and Focus has the dry double clutch gear box. Technically speaking, the operating and mechanical concepts shud be similar. Its the software algorithm that makes some differnces. My mk6 golf dgs shifting characteristics remain unchanged even I had loaded with latest software. I was told that the mk7 golf does not have the mk6 golf gear shift jittering issue anymore. I just got my focus. So far have not experience obvious jitter yet. Once the engine n clutch plate breakin I will try to observe to see ithas the similar charcharacteristics as vw golf.

That doesn't make sense....even the Fiesta's voice command (which is not SYNC) can be used to control the radio, CD player, USB/Bluetooth/AUX and of course phone dialing. It can't read sms, though.

Nevertheless, ford focus still is a good car to appreciate. Lets enjoy the driving despite of yelling on the lacking in ford sync.

Not bothered about the SMS feature, I hardly even get an SMS a week (except those promo SMS). It's all Whatsapp now.
I use Sync mostly for changing music and to make calls. Love it!

Hi All,
Just want to say hello to fellow forummers here.
Just took ownership of a 2013 focus sport+ late last month. Now clocking almost 4000km.
Previous car was a honda civic fd, which i used for almost two years.
Personally, It is a totally different driving experience in switching to a different make.
And i did not regret it..

In Australia, most 2013 car have digital radios installed in their car because the traditional analog radio waves have been replaced by digital signals, which add more functions to the radio like weather, song name, song title, etc etc to be displayed on our radio screen. However in Malaysia, our radio waves are still analog and it only sends audio signal to our radio, which means even tho ford choose to enable more options in Sync, we cant use it anyway..thats probably why they just "localize" the car and remove the function all together..haha

I am 4th day into driving the focus sport +. I realized that the dry clutch powershift gear box tends to hunt for gears to decide downshift or upshift during slow down and acceleration at low speed. And it creates the rattling sensation and noise. Any owner experience that? It seems like a dry clutch problem or characteristics. Probably need better gear shift algorithm.
