sorry. didnt make it clear.

ok. my note 2 is rooted with stock rom n kernel. never flash any custom rom but weirdly my binary count is 1 and not 0 supposedly.

after i flash the new firmware, my device status is still showing 'modified'. i can still see superSU in my apps but cant open it. i thought after unrooting superSU will uninstalled by itself. huhuhu cry.gif cry.gif

the Deep Sleep Battery Saver do work... kind of cool when set it to allow sync/data/wifi 1 min per 30mins, it seem like it force all those sync/data needed apps to align and beratur for update... nice... laugh.gif

What is Fast Dormancy, an app or something?

I checked before and after I ticked on Data Roaming. Before I switched, the IDLE mode lasted longer but once I ticked on it, it switched quite rapidly. laugh.gif

Root privileges are required. If you haven't Rooted your Galaxy SIII yet, it's super-easy, and we even have a wonderfully easy to follow guide

uninstall back.. doh.gif

How do you define lots of fast dormancy wakelock.? Mine was 5 to 7 minutes per day. Not sure that was lot in your point of view.

When I'm in Ipoh, battery drain very fast because of bad line (check from the battery stat, high wakelock too). Almost root my phone to try disabling the FD. Then it back to normal when I'm in Klang Valley.

Been a bzbz day.

I bought my Grey AP at RM1700 from direct D xD

Btw in regards to the battery issue i found this

Found out via BBS that fast dormancy is causing alot of kernal wake locks

Dug further and found this
http://eng.samaanetwork.com/?p=18517

this poor soul (malaysian s3 owner) tried 7+ diff methods to trouble shoot his battery woes. But its a good read.

1) use *#0011#
2) look at  UMTS RCC stats
3) see if it switches rapidly between idle, dch, patch

if it does fast dormancy isnt working

Our Note 2 support fast dormancy; and our telco's do as well. He basically enabled data roaming and he says it has sorted his battery and wakelock issues.

Me on the other hand, I just disable my data roaming instead and the switching stopped. Will monitor and report back!

Nice, I set FD with Gokhanmoral's app about 1 month ago, I think that helped my batt life as I've been having pretty good battey life apart from the monx episode on DLL4.

QUOTE(antt00 @ Jan 10 2013, 03:42 PM)
Wakelock persist. I read somewhere the toggle shows it is turn off as the code is written but the location of the code is wrong or not implemented. Something like that.

I've tested the service code komputer provided, IDLE is staying unchanged.

Was it a setting they did on your phone? Or they unblocked some VAS on the system?

Hi guys,
Hope someone help me here. I just subscribed to mobile data package to my existing postpaid plan (Celcom). I have turned on the mobile data option in my phone and using the internet. I have noticed that at times the 3G icon on the upper screen disappear just like that and the internet disconnects automatically. Whenever this happen, I cant call or sms. It doesn't go through and I need to restart again my device to make it work normal again. Anyone experiencing the same? Is it a network(Celcom) problem or defect in my device? Kindly advice....

Anyone able to help me on this?
