Will it help if I connect external antenna on my 4G LTE modem?
Will it improve connection speed/ping?

Unless your signal is teruk grade else better stick with modem itself.

By teruk grade I mean 1 bar or 2 bar signal

As you can see when i use tpink 3420 + huawei 820d my pings are extremely high.
Any idea what is causing this ?

Dont speedtest using cyberjaya server, use maxis server wink.gif My mistake

Try using USB extension to reduce interference

Anybody is using WR710N? Would like to know what is the amount of flash memory and RAM that comes with this model in Malaysia. From OpenWRT's Wiki page (http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-wr710n), it states that it comes with 2MB Flash and 16MB RAM, Poland version comes with 8MB Flash and 32MB RAM.

If Malaysia version is the same as Poland version, this will be a very good replacement for MR3020/WR703N. Perhaps can take over the most popular MR3420. tongue.gif

Disclaimers:
No 3G support with factory firmware
OpenWRT firmware support in progress (hopefully, ROOter firmware will be supported too  thumbup.gif )
*
Only advantage is direct plug in compare to 5V input.
Malaysia distributor don't seem bringing in this too sad.gif

Anyway, anyone tried those high end TP-LINK router?
Looking for one to replace my aging 1043ND

This thing looks more like a cheap repeater with tons of feature to me drool.gif

Or a portable router when traveling since can be used as USB charger although 1A output.

Sometime not necessary 2100 is faster. Test and see which one is the least at your place wink.gif

pls help me..

My setup:
E398+MR3420+ Hotlink Wireless broadband

Problem is internet is not automatically available  everytime i
'ON' the router+modem, ...... UNTIL i click 'proceed' at maxis.com.my/hbb1/ from my notebook.

I want internet access automatically available so that i can switch on my router then access youtube on TV directly  , without  extra step of 'click proceed' through my notebook.

am i doing anything wrong here...?

If you want always on then go for Umobile, their rate is almost the same as Maxis nod.gif

Great, finally got MR3420 working well with E3276 special edition

Why I mention special edition? It run special firmware which got so many function in it left to discover and that's the problem which causes normal dashboard cant work properly doh.gif

HiSilicon Chipset got big potential

Huawei new NCM protocol is very simple to dial but yet TP-LINK don't want to implement it doh.gif

HiSilicon able to detect QoS correctly
