duno should buy this or the Asus one.....this one so much more cheaper

Just for your information, E3276 is not in Asus official supported hardware list and even E398 have hiccups when I still use N56. wink.gif

If you want to have a great network, how about get both.

Those who get E3276 can't work properly with Rooter please include your firmware version.

P/S : e3276 with firmware lower than 160 is likely to have problem with Routers.
Do not attempt to update firmware.

Will post some tutorial tomorrow.

Tools > Diagnostics
Use Mobile Partner

I prefer yellow, red seem a bit buggy. Personal preference.

fuelsave : I already mentioned do not update E3276 firmware for every E3276 running firmware older than 160. wink.gif

Edit : Can anyone upload the OpenWRT 10-12 image for MR3420 V2.

My MR3420 V1 running 10-12 working perfectly well while both of the latest image for V2 don't work doh.gif

My E3276 run 21.260.05.00.609, work so well with V1, online within 90 seconds.

On V2 keep getting errors. Gave up Rooter, will use plain OpenWRT

I'm running 10-16 red with MR3420v2, modem can detect but can't dial
use that AT command result ERROR.
*
Can detect cant dial means the port settings @ Rooter is wrong.

Can be solved simply if your Modem > Information show this.

Bro, how to manually set the protocol using ttyUSB1 instead of auto on ttyUSB0 ?
*
My V1 auto detect correctly, didn't set anything.

I did modified something on my V1, forgotten what I done.

digilife Fixed yours but my own V2 still cacat. doh.gif

I measured on my Multimeter, my V1 draws 280mA on 3G IDLE and 417mA on 3G load.
Signal is -8XdBm, wifi is turned off.

On V2 with wifi turned off, 3G not connected state draws 204mA and a kernel error seem disabled the USB. Thanks or the tips lpc26 notworthy.gif
TP-LINK circuit is poorly designed or to save cost and unable to supply enough juice doh.gif

Both test are conducted on the same power brick and same E3276.

Solution : Use a Y connector.
Solution 2 : Get a cheap 5V module to power up the modem using the 12V supply bypassing the TP-LINK circuit.

I am not an E&E engineer. As far as I know ampere is auto regulated.

the method that dairyman provide at rooter websites is something similar like what you stated,..

i choose the 12V 2A power adapter replacement method from there too
i use it with my V2 & E3276 and also wifi is running at Maximum broadcast as well

http://www.ofmodemsandmen.com/powert.html

The brick I use able to supply more than our router need.
Problem is not with the supply, is with the circuit.

As V2 is not regulating the correct current, will send mine to warranty.

All E3276 which is newer than 160 firmware will have improved compatibility wink.gif

Currently might need some time to get it setup properly.
