I think this is GE60-2OE, and the GPU is GTX765M.

sifu, is it applicable for all Haswell, or just those ULT stuff? (can understand ultrabook want to cut down on power usage). Not easy to find LPDDR3 (some blur blur counter person don't even know what it is) (is it even available on retail?)
And man, if all Haswell use LPDDR3, the price for it will shot through the roof Even if only ultrabook use it, it will make life difficult for owner who want to upgrade RAM aftermarket.

Raymond, I think the price you have in mind is for DDR3L.
LPDDR3 is another story I could not find it in any retail shops at the moment
And if my eyes are not failing me, the LPDDR3 in the latest MBA seems to be soldered and I suspect all the ultrabook that use LPDDR3 will do the same

Please understand there are a lot of components within a laptop that are drawing power from the battery, not just CPU.
How long a laptop will last running on battery power obviously also depends on the battery capacity.

For example, MacBook Air, reportedly improve battery running time by 40-60%, moving from Ivy Bridge to Haswell platform.

new 22nm Atom is coming out this year, from what I read, it can be slapped into tablet / phone, and run proper W8, and competitive vs ARM+Android.
It's weird when we have windows and somehow not backward compatible (wasting time explain to people "don't install windows apps onto WindowRT )

cost, cost Small capacity mSATA SSD price move up, making them not very competitive any more in cheap laptop.
I was hoping 1 laptop brand will come out and for models of all price range, give a standard spec of 256G SSD only (cost of this is only ~ RM400 from OEM ). That will be the day
Also the latest form format craze seems to be the m.2 port. Start seeing it even in Lenovo Y series, and more prominently in MBA. So maybe mSATA will be phased out gradually in next 1 or 2 years

Don't think N550LF can pass the Intel Ultrabook criteria (for Haswell spec) Max z-height allowed is 23mm under current ultrabook definition, but I see that N550LF is 27mm thick
Also need to wake up from hibernation within 3 sec. (if without SSD (any form), not likely to meet this criteria)
