I've never used soft plastic before. I have a bag of white grubs and how long would each grub last if the fish takes it?
*
I used a semi mangled black grub that i have found on the floor. Caught at least 5 fishes with it. Although badly torn, if you can find a place to hook the soft plastic, chances are they will work just as well biggrin.gif

or how bro inv does with a bunch of rubber band. laugh.gif

I dont think i'll use the rubberband method la biggrin.gif
Maybe i'll try soft lures and some plastic baits. Floating or sinking recommended?

Topwater lure@ jpond not that promising. Just incased u ran out of soft plastic.
U could try some el-cheapo minnows workout as great as some exp lures.brands like surecatch, ofmer, price range are bout rm 12-20.
get 2 different colours 1bright 1 dark. Higher chances to hit toman,
Just my 2cents

Oh yeah, if u intend to use hardbody lure remember to change it to single hooks .

Look for these. Choose 1/3 size from the body length of your hardbody lures (do not include the lip of the lure)

sigh i miss fishing so badly....

So far I noticed best color at Jpond for hard lures will be something really silver flashy. shallow to mid water diving.

Soft lures,.. white and black works well,.. also noticed Chart tiger SP also good. Like Proclaimer said,,.. SP quite irritating when it comes to setting hook.
Higher chances for toman strike in the middle of the pond where the long water pipe sticking out and also near the white steel pondok.

Deep divers like fat raps or wiggly wart also good for tomans.

Thanks for the advises guys.
My friend would want to try the exotic pond as well. For fishing only(w/out bringing back fishes) the minimum would be 4 hours for RM100 izit?

i feel ya, 1dollar, bro

max, bro ... if you decide to consider the rubber band option, try using braid instead of rubber bands ... neater, tighter, less chance of needing a re-tie ...

sigh still cant get any fishes, tried using chicken livers today and still not even a nibble. the other day when we were waiting while the lines are in the water a huge fish came up and splash water .... what mockery is this -.-

i think i really nid to know what the heck is in these waters.. man worms don't work, chicken livers don't work ... i really have no idea what else to try. do you guys think i should try live minnows? hook them at the tail and let cast it into the water? or maybe i am just casting the bait at all the wrong places. gosh this is so annoying!!

My advised, try the 4hours package. Pretty worth the bucks for the sake of pulling fish.
If u had No idea where to get gizzard/ intestine, fyi the pond do sell it.rather expensive..rm 5.00 for 1small pack n u have to wait till its defrosted.

Max,
Try to go early and occupy hut no 10 or 8. by 730am they should switch the longer second pumps, cast your bait out there. cast about 5 feet away from the pump in the middle of the lake,.. mama pacu hang out there. For baung,.. cast out in btwn hut 8 & 7. Amazonians also like to hang out just to the left of hut 10 closer to the pumps along the shore, no need to cast far out.
Other good spot is in front of the counter, cast to the middle of the pond

coz the only time available for me is in the afternoon .. sad.gif lol
would the weather play such a big role in this? what about mid night? would that be better?

and 1 more thing i nidda bug u guys for insights. usually ponds, lakes and rivers in Msia, given the right depth and cleanliness, there will be carps, catfishes and haruans right? especially a dam would have all of these fishes? if i use earthworms as baits that would be able to nail almost all fishes?
